Kageyama's pov:

When Kageyama entered the classroom, everyone turned silent and stared right through him. Ugh. He wasn't expecting getting this much attention. And the bruised face didn't excately help, even after his mother had help him cover it up a little.

But he guessed the whole Akagi incident was quite serious after all, especially to the head of the school... Kageyama wasn't going "to rot in hell for what he had done for the school's reputation", as the professor so gladly proclaimed, but he was definetly going rot in detention.

Clearly unimpressed by the stares, and pretending to not give to it too much attention, Kageyama went to sit by the far end of the room before the lecture began, as grumpy as ever.

He wasn't planning on paying attention. It was second period now and Hinata wans't in his class. He couldn't wait for a chance to talk to him. Had he accepted to be Akagi's boyfriend? He knew it shouldn't be his problem, and that he should rather apologize, but it still remained his main preoccupation.

In a blink of an eye, the lecture was finished, and before anyone had gotten up Kageyama had picked up his bag and was on his way to leave the classroom. He, of course, thanked the teacher before leaving, trying to redeem his rudeness a little.

There he was, in the corridors, passing without hesitation by the lockers where the fight had occured. Further away, happily chatting, Kageyama saw Hinata, and his breath itched. Wow. Despite everything, Hinata was stunning and the brunette couldn't imagine that sunshine be someone else's. Quite intense thoughts, uh?

Once again, their eyes caught. Hinata stoped laughing and his expression slightly changed, deemed more precisely, morphing into a worried frown. He excused himself from his friends, approaching confidently Kageyama, who felt not so confident anymore.

Kageyama had froze. His heart was beating very fast. Did he say yes? Suddenly, Kageyama felt very sad. Maybe he did.

As Hinata came closer to him, fighting the flow of teenagers crowding the hallway, his eyes grew wide, a preoccupied wrinkle forming between his brows. "Ka-Kageyama, your eye!" he stuttered.

Taken aback, Kageyama hadn't excepted that form the orange haired boy. "My eye?" he asked, surprised. Hinata slowly lifted his hand, and lightly brushed his finger tip on Kageyama's high cheek, only slightly touching. With a start Kageyama recalled "Oh, yes... uhm, don't worry it's nothing." He looked away nonchalantly, afraid anyone might saw him blush.

The tall boy cleared his throat when Hinata stayed silent. "So..." The crowd was very loud and kept walking. Chatting at eather side of them. It was as if they were invisible. Kageyama looked straight into Hinata's eyes, choosing to face the problem head on. "I'm sorry for what happened yesterday, Hinata. It's my fault. I shouldn't have done what I did. Sorry." Even though his expression was rather nonchalant, and the way Kageyama had rushed his excuse, he had no doubt Hinata knew he was nervous. Apologizing to Hinata, Hinata for god sake, was taking a huge toll on him.

The other boy, chuckled "You're so funny when you're nervous." His eyes had a glint of playfulness and Kageyama looked away. "But yeah, I didn't really understand what happened, I just guess there must have been a misunderstanding." Kageyama nodded distantly, eager to confirm Hinata's words.

"Uhm." There was a small awkward silence as Hinata fidgeted and Kageyama looked hard at him, trying to decipher what he was thinking.

"Did you say yes?" The question came out of the blue, and a little more harsh than expected.

Hinata looked up as he brows shot up in suprise, astounded "What?"

"Uhm..." Kageyama put his hands in his pockets, anxious, but still managed to sound confident and unattached. He was anything but it. Blue eyes met brown ones. "Did you say yes, when Akagi asked you to be his boyfriend?"

If Hinata could have looked more surprised, he would have. "I-euh... I" He was looking around, trying to find the words. Kageyama was intangible. "Well, no I didn't say yes, why would you think that? hehe" Hinata was blushing madly, very uncomfortable, under Kageyama's unreadable stare. "Well I mean, of course not. But that's not the point right?" The number 10 left the question pending, daring to confront Kageyama's eyes.

The said boy, coughed, realising he had been holding his breath. It must have looked like he was relieved as his posture had gone less stiff. "Yes sure, right... You know, I just wanted to make sure." Pause "Again, sorry. I just don't want, uhm, bad things to happen to you, I guess..." And yes, Akagi was a very bad thing.

Did Hinata blush? Kageyama didn't know anymore, too embarrassed to actually apologize to Hinata. "Yes, I'm good don't worry. I figured it out." He put his hand out for Kageyama to shake it, to contract that everything was fine, and he took it eagerly. The feeling of their hands intertwined couldn't help but feel right, as a small shock of electricity coursed through him. Maybe Hinata felt it too. "Aaaand sorry about that punch too, yesterday... even though you have to agree with me it was well deserved" Hinata was back to smiling broadly and winked.

And just like that, the tension was gone. A faint smile appeared on Kageyama's expression. It was true, he had deserved it. And Hinata commented how today was such an extraordinary day, for Kageyama had said the word 'sorry' and nearly smiled at once!

Kageyama felt warmth in his chest, as Hinata and him walked side by side into the hallway, bodies nearly touching in the middle of the crowd.

"Are you coming to today's practise?" Hinata asked with a beaming smile. Kageyma flinched. "Not today, I have detention." He looked side ways at Hinata, his mouth in an understanding 'o' shape. Suddenly looking straight ahead with greeted teeth, Kageyama dared to ask. "How's Akagi."

Hinata seemed a little taken aback before answering, also looking ahead "Could be worse." His answer was clear and laconic: perfect. Kageyama couldn't help but smirk at himself, that bastard had also deserved it. And it was worth all the detention in the world.

Still, the duo got weird looks and glances now and then. Occasionally even wispers.

Hinata had said no to Akagi, and that's what mattered. It was enough for Kageyama. A small smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. For now at least.

The bell rang.

I hope you are all doing fine...! UwU
