Jin Ling's Love

Jiang Cheng was exhausted from the journey. He had met a three eyed monster at night hunting. It was an easy task but the journey back to the sect was exhausting. Jiang Cheng went straight to the kitchen to find something to eat and surprisingly found a bowl of hot noodles waiting for him.

Jiang Cheng : " Huh. Which brat cooks at this hour?"

And he saw a sleepy looking Jin Ling looking at him with hope filled eyes. Jiang Cheng's heart did a flip or two.

Jiang Cheng : "Jin Ling! Why are you here? And what's this ugly looking thing?"

Jin Ling's face was fell and he answered in a shaking tone.

Jin Ling : " I cooked for uncle. It's my first time cooking."

Jiang Cheng : * How sweet of my little boy! He cooked just for me! Not for that Wei WuXian but me.

Jiang Cheng : " Why does this look suspiciously red? Are you trying to poison me? "

Jin Ling :" No. It's the... It is the spices."

Jin Ling was looking down with a sad face, his robes were dirtied and face was covered in dust and smoke. Jiang Cheng immediately felt guilt. What if the kid felt ill, what if he burned his hand, that's scary to even think about.

Jiang Cheng :" Don't do things you know nothing about. Go, wash yourself and change into proper clothes! " * there seems no wound or burnt mark on his hands, that's good.

Jin Ling :" But uncle... "

Zidian was out chasing him and Jin Ling ran all the way back to his room.

Jiang Cheng :" He is jiejie's son. I wonder if this taste even a bit like hers? "

A teary eyed Jiang Cheng : " I should buy another dog for him. The kid is soft in the heart. "

Jiang Cheng was happy that Jin Ling was unharmed during this very difficult task. He remembered Wei Ying's First time cooking, that guy actually burnt a hole in the pan.

Again Jiang Cheng : " He must be feeling bad. I should at least take him to the market tomorrow."

Jiang Cheng tried a spoonful from the still hot bowl and found it surprisingly good. Rather than being extra spicy, he didn't feel any ugly taste. It was actually good than he expected.

Jiang Cheng :" Jin Ling knows which taste I like. Lovely kid. "

Jiang Cheng finished the whole bowl of noodles and went to Jin Ling's quarters. The light was still on and he entered without knocking.

Jin Ling : " Uncle?"

Jiang Cheng : " The soup was good."
And Jin Ling nearly fell from the bed he was currently sitting and day dreaming.

Jin Ling : " You ate it?"

Jiang Cheng was instantly wrapped in a tight embrace. His face felt hot, this kid really knew how to flatter people.
But his stoic face didn't allow any reaction, prying Jin Ling's hands away from him, Jiang Cheng turned back to leave.

Jiang Cheng : " Sleep now. Tomorrow, I will take you to buy another dog."

Jiang Cheng heard Jin Ling screaming, screams of happiness.
