"Hi, Josaiah! I've brought pizza!"

Hindi makapaniwala si Natasha sa nakikita. Nasa porch ngayon ang isa sa mga taong kinamumuhian niya. Si Kelvin Mendez, ang biology professor.

"Oh, hello Kelvin! Come in! Come in!" magiliw na anyaya ni Josaiah.

Saglit na napatigil si Kelvin at nawala ang ngiti nang magtagpo ang tingin nila ni Natasha pero agad niya rin itong binati.

"Hi Natasha! Didn't expect to see you here."

"You knew each other?" nagtatakang tanong ni Josaiah. Tumango-tango naman si Ameliah dahil iyon rin ang nasa isip niya.

"Oh! Are you Natasha's boyfriend?!" hula ni Amaliah na agad namang kinontra ni Natasha. "What?! No!!!"

"Aysus! Hindi mo na kailangang mahiya!" pagpupumilit ni Ameliah. Inilapag naman ni Kelvin ang box ng pizza sa lamesita na may ngisi sa labi.

"Ate Ameliah, you really have to stop. That man has an awful record—"

"Oh please, Natasha! We are co-teachers. Don't be indifferent," natatawang pigil sa kaniya ni Kelvin.

"Why are you here?!" madiing tanong nito.

"Natasha..." suway ni Ameliah.

"I'm sorry, Josaiah. Hindi kasi maganda ang unang pagkikita namin back in Santa Meresillès. I got involved with the violent activities of The Hunters not knowing what they are really up to so I was hoping to get some more relevant information. It's such a surprise to see her here." Paliwanag ni Kelvin.

"Oh come on, Kelvin—"

"Look, Natasha. Alam mong hindi kami magkasundo ng kapatid mo, right? She's treating me as her warlock-on-call and she won't even tell me the reason why she's resurrecting a powerful witch."

"Natasha dear, can we at least hear what he has to say?" kalmadong sabi ni Josaiah. Itinuro niya ang sofa kay Kelvin at naupo rin siya sa katapat.

Binuksan ni Ameliah ang box ng pizza at inalok sa lahat. "Sorry sayang naman kung lalamig," sabi niya. Tumango naman si Josaiah at bahagyang tumawa. "You're right."

"Ahem, so iyon nga. I came back to Santa Meresillès and I tried copying their ritual. I began by searching for pure elemental power users. I found Elrick when I caught him lighting the bonfire using his own ability. He was my first prisoner."

Napansin ni Natasha ang pagbabago ng emosyon sa mga mata ni Josaiah pero hindi ito umimik. Their coven was protecting the twins and capturing Elrick definitely had an impact to her.

"I observed people. Then, I made a list. I was taunting Briella Klaire's ability when Samantha showed up. She was baffled by the fact that I associated myself, a nobody, with the local witches, acted like a regent, and called ourselves The Hunters. She made me choose between my life and my ego. Of course, I picked the obvious option—my life"

"Okay wait, fact check. Just so you know, Josaiah. His next target was Briella Klaire A.K.A Elyse Donovan."

Dumilim ang mukha nito. "You killed Lucy and Lily. Are you really here asking for my help when you killed two of my coven members?" she said looking disgusted. Agad namang itinaas ni Kelvin ang mga kamay niya bilang depensa.
