Being confident in yourself can be pretty neutral, super easy, or super hard. Confidence comes in pairs with self-esteem so I boosted my confidence when I was working on my self esteem. So in this chapter we are going to talk about both. One huge tip that helped me is stop talking down on yourself and start talking up to yourself if that makes sense. For example you're getting ready for school or work and you walk past the mirror and look at your stomach and say wow I'm so fat or I'm so thin. After a while your brain will start to take those "negative compliments" and it will lower how you view yourself so 2 months from now all you're wearing is sweaters and don't want to go out with friends because you're thinking about how your stomach will look in that shirt. If you would've walked past that mirror and said wow, i'm so pretty or even said nothing and continued to either upboost or ignore your "flaws" then you would've bought that pretty shirt and would've gone out with your friends and replaced those boring home memories with fun memories. Kinda like the butterfly effect. This is not saying that every extrovert has high self-esteem but when you don't worry about things then you will most likely want to do more things like talk on stage and focus on what your saying and how you're interacting with the audience instead of how you look in that dress and what people are thinking of you. Building confidence takes time so does building self esteem but when you are at a good level it can be very beneficial to you and others.
