Chapter 11

  "I-Im m-more tha-an en-ough" I repeated the words to myself one more time as my heart thudded in pain. I so desperately wanted to believe those words but I couldn't, my heart wanted to believe I was enough for Xaviar but my head knew better.

At this point I was confused, should I leave?? Should I walk away from this sham of a marriage or should I stay and fight for it??? Xaviar made me question my sanity in certain moments. Sometimes I want to stay and fight for us then other times I'm totally lost and confused on what to do.

A knock on the door to the bathroom was enough to make me furiously clean my tears.

"Ma'm dinner has been Served, Mr Lucasino is requesting your presence " a maid said gaining my attention

He was home!

"I'll be there in a minute " I pulled open the door and stood before the servant. Her eyes cast on the ground with a light blush on her cheek

    it wasn't a surprise though as I was only in a towel, but then again this also showed she was new here. Other maids wouldn't react this way.

     "When did he get back?" I questioned

"about ten minutes ago"
I nodded to her and she hurried her way out of the room.

  I stepped into the walk in closet and got dressed in a comfortable pink flower designed pyjamas, I quickly brushed my hair and made my way to the dining room.

       "finally decided to come down for dinner " Xaviar said when he caught sight of me

"finally decided to come home early today?" I retorted as I took a seat.

   His eyes clung on me and I knew immediately he caught what I had meant.

He cleared his throat before speaking again, this time the servants begun serving the meal.

      "Have you been drinking again?"

"Do I look drunk Xaviar? I'm perfectly in my right senses " I said a bit too harshly

    "okay" He dismissed

  we didn't speak again after that, the maids were done dishing the food and we ate in silence. Xaviar was pretty occupied with his phone throughout.  The maid from before stood quietly at the side, refilling our glasses with water or wine whenever asked to.

The silence was becoming suffocating and my anger had somehow increased

   "the least you could do is put the phone down and have dinner with your wife " my fingers wrapped tightly around the cutlery I'm surprised it didn't snap in two

   Xaviar on other hand didn't look up from his phone when he replied "I don't see how it's affecting you?"

"Who is she Xaviar?? Who is Sophie or whatever her name is?" I bit down my tongue trying to control my rage

This time around my husband's eyes snapped up to look at me and his iPhone was long forgotten on the table

  "What?"

He was playing dumb

"you heard me, you keep prancing about with her. Your pictures are all over the internet for goodness sake and you sit here trying to play dumb???? Do I look stupid to you??"

  "I never said you were stupid Layla " he replied

  "so who is she to you??? Don't fucking lie to me "

"I already told you she's nobody " He went back to eating

       "YOU LYING BASTARD!!!" I yelled standing from my seat

    Xaviar's eyes were on me again, he looked really calm and composed. The maid on the other hand stood in an uncomfortable position from the situation unfolding

    "can you not create a scene right now Layla. I don't want to argue "

" She's the reason you've been treating me like garbage right??? Because of your new female??? You disgust me Xaviar Lucasino!"

    "non parlarmi come quella Donna!"
(don't speak to me that way woman!)

Xaviar looked rather too composed for my liking

    "why shouldnt I? You don't deserve my respect anymore " I said cocking my brows at him

His eyes left mine momentarily and he sighed

   "look Layla you're getting everything mixed up. I- she's no one babe, I already told you "

  "I love you Layla, that's all that matters " He looked me straight in the eye as he said these words. His feelings perfectly conveyed to me.

I couldn't take my eyes off him, I couldn't think of anything else other than the words he said at that moment and my heart broke.

I felt my weakness emit my body in form of tears, it flowed out my eyes freely as I stood there short of words

    my husband's eyes widened as he saw the evidence of his actions

"Layla??" He pushed back his seat to stand

"Don't!" I placed my hand forward stopping him

     "how can you look me right in the eyes and lie Xaviar?? How can you tell me those words when you don't mean it, when you're cheating on me??" I whispered

   His eyes crunched in confusion to my words

Damm he was an excellent actor.

"There are fucking numerous pictures of Y'all kissing in public Xaviar!! She's your fucking girlfriend you man whore!!!' More tears poured out my eyes

     Xaviar still didn't break character

"I'm done! I want a fucking divorce!" I declared.

   He was suddenly standing in an instant.
"I'VE HAD ENOUGH FROM YOU LAYLA!!!!" He yelled shutting me up

  "YES! SHE'S NOT A NOBODY, SHE MEANS SOMETHING TO ME!! SOOO WHAT THEN LAYLA?? YOU COULD FUCKING KILL YOURSELF FOR ALL I CARE BUT YOU ARE NEVER GETTING THAT DIVORCE!"

   He took large steps out of the dinning room as I stood in place from pain.

It was one thing knowing your husband had a mistress but it was another thing when he finally admitted it and made it clear he wouldn't choose you

My desire for dinner was thrown out the window and I exited the room few minutes after he did rather than going to the master bedroom, I headed to one of the guest rooms. I had no intentions of seeing his face this night.

I'm so sorry it took me awhile to give an update but I've been really occupied with stuff.

I have something to tell Y'all,
Funny how when I started this book I was single with no form of relationship drama. Well I got into a relationship two weeks ago and I just found out this nigga has another girlfriend.
Lmfao, I felt like a clown but I eventually ended it with him. I can't make another female go through what Layla's going through.
