Endless (a naruto fan fiction)

Part 1

(Rin)

The darkness let up slightly as my room door opened. A silver haired boy with glasses stepped in with a clipboard.

"Rin, I see you're looking well today" kabuto said "don't worry, that won't last long". He grinned evilly and put chains around my hands and neck. I didn't resist. By now, I knew that that would only make it worse.

Kabuto led me down a series of halls to a room I'd never been to before. It was, of corse, a testing room, where I'd probably go through another series of experiments, but in this room was something different. In this room, on the far wall, leveling in light, was a window. It was small, and it had a lock, but it was a window for sure.

This was my chance.

Before he could strap me to the experiment table, I snapped my head back to hit kabuto's, making him stumble and let go. I'd played this out countless times in my head, so I was ready.

I wrapped the chains around my hands and flung the ends at kabuto, shattering his glasses and knocking him down. While he was down, I took my chance and kicked him in the head. I heard a small crack, then his body went limp.

I didn't check to see if he was unconscious or dead, I just ran to the window, using the chains to break it before slipping through.

I... I made it. I'm free! I ran in who knows what direction. I was free, who cares?! But, my freedom was short lived. After running only a few minutes, a figure appeared before me.

My heart rate seemed to triple as I depicted the figure. Orochimaru. I held on to my chains hopelessly as I stared into his snake eyes and he chuckled.

"How interesting. You know you won't win, but you still wish to fight? Don't worry, child, I'm not here to take you back. Just give you a... shall we say, parting gift." His neck stretched the few yards there were between us and bit my neck. Anguishing pain took me over and my body felt like it was going to explode.

"If you survive that, you are free". Then, he turned and left, leaving the word "if" to haunt my mind.

Doing as Ninko said, I allowed the darkness that had been gnawing at my vision take me completely.
