"She's never been like this before," Kev said to Stacey. After a few minutes, something snapped in me and I ran after her, bloody nose and all. I didn't know if I'd find her, but I might as well try.
I got outside the building we were training in and saw her sitting on the step crying and shivering. I sat on the step with her and put my arm around her. She tensed up and looked at me. Her stance was so defensive.
"Come on. It's freezing." She shook her head just as an uber pulled up. She went.
