I'd never seen Dianne this distraught before, or Joe this panic-stricken in a long time, not even remembering the last time. If it wasn't for Alfie being there, his hand on my back, silently saying, "It's OK. I've got you." I probably would've broken down too.
"I'm out of Strictly," Dianne said, crying. Joe gave me a look that made me think we'll have to talk later.
Alfie and I shared a look and he made up some excuse to take Joe out of the room.
"Good. Let it all out." Dianne cried on my shoulder. "You'll be OK."
