{ Wow, I'm back? Shocking I know. If you cant tell already this is going to be a TWDG AU that revolves around Mythology. I've always been a big fan of the topic so I figured I'll try my hand at something new. I haven't written in about a year so I'm sorry if I'm not at my best for the first couple chapters. Also, some of the characters might be cliche but oh well. I hope you guys also like the cover art that I made :) }

Many people exaggerate and say this world is kill or be killed. Little did they know, for individuals like The Marked that is the harsh reality. They are hunted everyday by those who fear creatures like them. The Marked are looked down upon yet feared by everyone. Those individuals have to live their lives in secrecy to stay alive, even ones that could help society function. Some people are born Marked others become it involuntarily.

Clementine was a normal human, one with society, falling into it's set of rules. She lived with her parents in Georgia and had a comfortable life. Clementine went camping with her mother and father a lot growing up, or she was stuck with the babysitter and just played in her treehouse all day.

The girl's parents had to leave for a town called Savannah for a business trip where Clementine could not come with. They made plans to go on their monthly camping trip, but the plans had to be cancelled. However, her parents decided that her babysitter should take her just so she wouldn't be sad about not being able to go with them. Clementine wasn't excited about it at all, but long story short she ended up giving in.

The first night of camping went well, but the second night changed the females world for the rest of of her life. What looked like a starving dog came into their campsite. Clementine instantly felt guilt and decided to share some of their food with the animal.

The mutt sniffed the food she held out to it, but wasn't the least bit interested in that smell. In a blink of an eye, the vicious animal latched it's powerful jaws around Clementine's forearm with the intent to rip it off. A bloodcurtling scream erupted from the girl who fell prey against the dog... or what she thought was a dog. The second the canines sharp teeth punctured the skin of her arm, a burning sensation spread throughout the her body like she had just been poisoned.

Adrenaline pumped through Clementine's veins as she attempted to fight it off. The form of her predator being to change, the more blood it took from her. She could feel her arm starting to flex from the amount of pressure that was being put on her bones.

A gasp came from near her babysitter's tent and caught the attention of the monster. The pressure was lifted, but Clementine's vision was going in and out of focus. All she could make out was low growling and a black figure stalking towards her babysitter who stood frozen in fear.

Just as Clementine was about to yell for her to run, it was too late. The monster had already made it to her babysitter and was feasting on her as the preteen attempted to stand up. Without looking back, she grabbed her backpack and bolted through the woods, hoping the monster wasn't on her tail. She ended up passing out from losing too much blood after running for about ten minutes.

Clementine didn't figure she was going to wake up after that event. Thankfully she did, but wasn't completely herself after that. Once she woke up, the wound was healed, but left a major scar that she hates to this day. That was the day she was marked by a werewolf.

Years passed as she now lives her life in solitude, well mostly. It's not like she could've went home after that. A lot about her changed after that night. Her view of life, her personality, her physical form, etc. She has only fully turned a couple times over the years, it's rare. However, she can't hide certain attributes that came with being marked. Her tail and ears never went away after the first time she changed. Clementine had heard things about The Marked throughout her life before becoming one. However, she didn't know that they could look mostly human.

The myths that went around in stories were so bullshit. Once she woke up for the first time those years ago she figured she would be a hairy, terrifying beast all the time. It turned out she could mostly disguise herself after getting the hang of her new abilities.

After that traumatic night, she grew cold for a long time. It's not like she could be with the people she loved anymore. She would be killed on sight. Therefore, she spent her days in the wilderness trying to not encounter people as much as she could.

That was until she notices a small boy who was surrounded by the corpses of who she figured was his family. He looked human and was cornered by canine monsters just like her. Except she didn't feel the urge to hurt him like they did. The young one looked terrified, and it reminded Clementine of exactly how she felt years prior. She ended up saving him from her kin and that was the best decision she had ever made.

Clementine has been venturing with the boy, AJ, for a year or so now. He made her realize she wasn't as much of a monster as she has been thinking this entire time. Clementine realized she was a half human hybrid, so unlike the rest of her kind she felt human emotions and had human qualities.

The lycanthrope imprinted on AJ the second they met, and swore she would protect him with her life. She would never wish for a child to have to go through the changes she did. They've been on a journey to find a safe place where they dont have to worry about killing or dying everyday...

{ Prologues are boring, I know but heyyyy new stuff is coming. Hope this wasn't too much to follow because I'm writting this at 4 am. I hope you guys are excited for what's to come in the near future. }
