Chapter 3

~Lucy's P.O.V.~

        "Ughh, where's Porylusica??" I groaned. "She should be here by now.."

        "We've only been here a couple minutes Lucy," said Jessie with a frown.

        "I know but she should be here by now!" I whined. Erza put her hand on my shoulder.

        "I know you're concerned, and we feel the same way, but Jet is doing his best to get Porylusica here as soon as possible," said Erza.

        "I know, but I'm still worried.." I sighed. Just then she finally came in.

        "I hate humans..." She muttered as she walked in. "Now what seems to be the problem?" We stepped aside to show her Natsu, who was laying in one of the infirmary beds. Her eyes widened as she examined him.

        "Will he be okay?" I asked worryingly to Porylusica. She shook her head.

        "I'm not too sure," she replied. "His leg is definitely broken, and his cuts are fairly deep, but before I can truly examine and treat him, someone has to clean him up first; he's very filthy." I looked at him. I hadn't noticed how muddy he was. "Also I will need to treat him at my place."

        "Who's going to clean him up?" I asked. Everyone slowly turned to me. I was confused for a second, but then I realize what they were thinking. "Oh no no no..." I said shaking my head.

        "Well, when you humans figure it out, I'll be waiting for you at my cottage," said Porylusica. She then left the infirmary. When the door closed, Jessie explained the plan.

        "Okay, here's the plan: Gray, Erza, and I will go to the guild basement and see if any books mention anything about the monsters from the village we were in. Lucy, you stay here and clean up Natsu,"

        "W-why can't Gray do it?l I asked.

        "C'mon Lucy, you don't have to see him naked," snickered Gray. Jessie and Erza punched him really hard for me.

        "What he means is that you can just use a wet towel to just wash his limbs and body. I would leave his broken leg alone though," explained Jessie. I sighed in defeat.

        "Alright fine..." I muttered. Jessie smiled.

        "Thanks Lucy, I owe u one," she said as she, Erza, and Gray headed out. I sighed. What did I just agree to? I looked over at Natsu who was still unconscious. I feel really guilty for not being there with him when whatever it was attacked him. Gray and Jessie told me he was crying tears because of how much pain he was in, and I could see pain still etched on his face. Wait, what was I doing again? Oh right. I went to go find a towel. I grabbed the one from the girl's bathroom and made it wet with cold water. I then went back to the infirmary and put the wet towel on Natsu's forehead to cool him off. Of course it got warm as soon as I put it on, but it was something. I took off his muddy and scarf and lifted the towel from his forehead. When I did, I felt something on my arm. It was Natsu's hand.

~Natsu's P.O.V.~

        "U-ugh.." I groaned. My head pounded, and I felt my hand on something really warm and soft. I slowly opened my eyes to see a blonde haired girl with dark brown eyes looking right at me. She looked so familiar, but I didn't know her, so I fearfully tried to move away, but my leg screamed in agony. My head started to feel like someone was hitting a hammer against it. Who was she? Where am I? Questions filled my mind, and each time a new question popped up, the more my head started to swirl. I clutched my head with my hands to stop the swirling, but it didn't work. I tried to stop the tears rolling down my face, but it woudn't stop. Just then the girl put her hand on one of my hands.
