prologue

"Anika is a good girl. She is perfect for you... Agrr these were the words that dadi told be about you", said Shivaay to Anika while his hands were in his pocket. He is worried because he needs to reject this marriage but this girl has every quality which he liked. He knows she is a very nice girl but he can't say a yes because he is insecure. He hates marriage, love and relationship-like words, for him, these words don't exist.

"H...hmm ok", she said casually. She positively took his words not knowing his intentions and sat on the sofa. Shivaay walked towards her and looked down in guilt because whatever he is going to say will hurt Anika but he have to. Anika looked towards him who is behaving strangely. He is behind her but not saying anything

"About marriage Anika, you should know that I am marrying you because you are the sister of Daksh", he told Anika while looking here and there. He is finding it difficult to talk with her about breaking marriage that too when she is looking at him with hopes.

"Can you say directly what you want to say? ", asked Anika and crossed her arms She sensed something fishy in his behaviour but she is unable to understand what? She is not his lover who will get everything even if he stays quiet

"So... Everyone is happy because you are a well-educated girl ", he said because when he opened his mouth to talk about breaking marriage her eyes made him fall weak. Which he should not but her innocent eyes are making it difficult for him to cancel this marriage. He don't want to insult her emotions but now he watched her expression changing to an angry one

"Tell me directly Mr.", She asked angrily banging her hand on the table and asking him to sit there. Shivaay nodded and sat there awkwardly. He looked down to start a conversation as now her eyes don't contain hope for him

"That... I don't believe in marriage relations... I won't be able to consider you as your wife... I... I can't", He told being scared of marriage words but this shocked Anika to the core. The one whom she is going to marry just said that he can't marry her but why? And why can't he consider her as his wife after marriage? She will never let anyone play with her emotions

"W...what do you want to say... Tell clearly", she asked being terrified by his words. He is bashing around the bush from the time they entered this room. He wants to tell something but he is talking indirectly rather than talking directly

"That you will be my wife for the whole world I will give you respect you need you can do whatever you want to but I don't want to fell in love it will destroy me", he said and remembered how Shakti and Pinky killed each other when they were lovers. He doesn't want to go through the same pain as they went so he said that he won't want to marry.

He shivered remembering the past and looked here and there to control his emotions. Anika noticed a change in him and asked

"Past", asked Anika being confused

"It shouldn't matter", he said in his cold voice

"It does because we are going to marry Mr Shivaay Singh Oberoi", she said angrily. This man is getting on her nerves now and she is not that innocent to stay quiet

"But I don't want to tell this to anyone", he said in the same tone and then realised his mistake and looked down. He freed his hand from his fist and turned towards her.

"I just called to tell you that after marriage I won't stop you to do anything there will be no restriction from my side you can do whatever you want to but... I won't be able to consider you as a wife... Not because it's arranged marriage just because I don't think a relationship like marriage goes smoothly... Those who fall in love are the ones who kill each other", he said and tears were about to come but he turned aside

"Leave it ... In short I hate marriages but I trust dadi that's why I am marrying you because she wants to see me married", he said  and turned to look in her eyes at last after composing himself

Anika looked at him with teary eyes and left there saying

"I don't want any marriage then", she said and left

"Anika putter I can understand you... But he is the best person he has a soft corner too", said dadi and Anika remembered that scene where Shivaay was taking care of Priyanka like a baby

"Hmm I saw that dadi", she said being lost

"So just think that person who can love his sister too much... How much he will love his wife", said dadi

"Be he doesn't believe in love", said Anika trying to control her tears

"No, it's not like that Anika... He believes but he doesn't want to fall in love", said dadi and Anika looked towards her after wiping her tears

"Yes, Anika but there is a past... You just have to make a place in his heart... And he will tell you about his feelings and past", said dadi while Pointing toward her heart

"But dadi what if I failed", said Anika while crying

"He... He said he will not consider me as his wife", said Anika and hugged her

"Shh putter he is just scared... I can't tell you anything because one day he will... Because I know it's only you who can change him", said dadi while trying to calm her

"Why", asked Anika while looking into her eyes

"Because I saw him staring at you... He never stared any girl ", said dadi

"He is sweet... And I will take my place in his heart ....and one day he will also care for me as he did for Priyanka", she said while looking at him with determination
