As Anika agreed dadi asked them to get engaged too. Shivaay was irritated with dadi's wishes. With much difficulty, he was able to make Anika agree and now she wants to move like a bullet train

"Ok dadi. Tell me when is engagement", said Anika and looked towards him. Shivaay was surprised to hear her reply as for him she was not ready for marriage but here she took one step forward. Even he doesn't have any problem if she is happy

"Tomorrow if you both are comfortable. Don't worry about arrangments he will see them", said dadi to which Anika nodded

"Anika, can you come with me? In my room?", He asked to which she nodded and followed him

Once she entered the closed door.

"Don't worry I will not do anything", he said when he noticed her shocked face

"I know that ... but there is no need to lock the door", said Anika and sat on the bed

"I know but I don't want anyone to disturb us. I want to ask are you really ready even after knowing that I can't...", He was interrupted by Anika who called his name in mid

"I want to know about your decision", she interrupted him as whenever he repeated those lines she felt humiliated

"Depends upon you", he said while looking here and there

"Are you sure? As my decision is yes", she said whereas he stopped pacing here and there to look at her

"Fine. I don't want to marry but if my family is happy then even I am. So we can talk about our choice right", he asked to which Anika nodded

"Can you tell me the reason why you don't believe in marriages?", Asked Anika

"I know I shouldn't hide it but I don't want to tell either so in short I saw my parents fighting even after love marriages. My mom asked me that I should never ruin a girl's self-respect especially by marrying. That's why I am still confused because I don't want to force you into a marriage which my heart can't accept

My mom told me not to cheat which I will never but what about marriage? You would have dreamt of many things from me that I don't think I can fulfil... I don't want to disappoint my mother", he said not letting him know about how his parents killed each other. How they used to fight in front of him. Those fights always broke his heart because their parents were in love before marriage. From their death, he started thinking that once we marry we start looking for another girl.

He thinks that if he started loving Anika then his love will destroy her. He doesn't want to become like his father who was having affairs with others after love. His trance broke when Anika hold his shoulder

"Shivaay", called Anika to which he hummed

"Can we become friends? Regarding marriage so I just want you to be loyal that's it. I don't want anything else. Not for a year at least because we don't know each other so it's difficult for me to accept you as a husband ", said Anika and sat near him. She understood that his dark past is stopping him to accept this marriage but from his heart, he want to accept this marriage

She smiled as she understood dadi's words clearly. He is just insecure because of his past and something more is there that he didn't confess here. Maybe because he doesn't trust her now

"Sure we can become friends but I don't want to accept marriage from hea... I mean I don't want to fall for you", he stammered while looking into her eyes. Somewhere he knew that her eyes were making him weak but he can't do anything. She will be his wife for his house and the whole world as well which he has to accept otherwise she will receive insult just like his mother received just because of his father whereas his mother was madly in love with his father rather to day dependent upon him

"Aacha you don't want to fall in love Ooo mean you can there are chances hana", teased Anika who failed to notice his tears. When she didn't get any reply she saw his tears

"Shivaay stop crying", whispered Anika and wiped his tears. Shivaay looked at her when she touched his face. He touched her hands gently but then realised that he should not fall for her so he stood up

"I'm sorry. Just remembered my mother's pain. I don't want you to go through the same I wish I will never do something like him but can I ask one promise from you?", He asked. Anika looked at him shocked as he was asking one promise for the first time

"Yes sure but not something difficult", she said and pouted. Shivaay smiled and sat near her again

"It is a bit difficult. I mean the whole world knows how arrogant I am and I am short-tempered but can you promise that even if by chance I tried to do something which I shouldn't then you will take a stand for yourself. I don't want you to cry like my mother who was scared of my father... Only she could handle him but she...", Shivaay stopped in the middle when he saw her wide smile

"What?", He asked

"Nothing. You aren't that much scary. Also, ask something new  I am not that weak to cry. I know about my rights and also know how to force people to come In Line", said Anika and pushed her hair aside

"A few days ago when I was going through the office I saw a girl who ran from there when she noticed me. From Khanna, I got to know that she was scared of me. When I never met that girl... Even if I met I am not that scary", he said and saw Anika start laughing

"Hahaha you and your employees hahaha I am not scared of you hahaha bechari", she said within her laugher

"Stop laughing. I am serious", he said but there was no use because she was laughing like manic

"Hahaha I want to see that girl", she said to which he rolled his eyes

"Do you think that she can work for me? When my one glance scared her? Anyways I really don't want to scare you I mean I don't want you to become like my mother. You girls are strong enough to fight for yourself right", he said and noticed that she was still controlling her laughter. When their eyes met she started laughing. Shivaay smiled but seeing her making fun of him he was irritated

"Haha why she was scared when you are not the one who can scare anyone", said Anika

Shivaay smirked and pulled her towards himself and pushed her hands behind her back

"I am scared if I try to show that side. You will get to know that once you join the office", he said

Anika looked down as she was the first time that close to a man and here he was trying to scare her but whenever she remembered their conversation she started giggling again

"I am not scared mangetar jii. Rather say pati parmeshwar", whispered Anika near his ears. Shivaay's hold loosened and Anika stepped backwards

"And yes don't take this respect seriously", she said and moved towards the door to open it but he stopped her

"Hmm yes say", she said and turned towards him who passed a smile

"I want one more thing from you for me my family is important so will you consider this family as yours?", He asked. At first, she was confused but after a minute she realised the actual meaning of his words

"Yes definitely. There is nothing to call as mine and yours", she said which impressed him

"Thank you. You can go now", he said but this time rather than opening the door she closed the door again
