Dinner with everyone in their extended family was, as always, chaotic and enjoyable. Puns were made by Toriel, Sans, and Frisk, Papyrus freaked out about said puns, Undyne was incapable of speaking in an inside voice most of the time, Alphys started babbling when asked about the anime she liked, Metatton gave a sample of the new dance number he's working on, and Asgore remained a calm presence amidst all the chaos.
At the end, Frisk had almost forgotten their little guest, but managed to convince Mom to let them bring some food to their room once they remembered, with the excuse that they wanted something to snack on while they finished their homework.
Carrying a plate of fish fillet and the sauce for it, Frisk was halfway up the stairs when they noticed the presence at the top of it. It was Mini Frisk, sitting curled up at the top and furiously wiping away tears. It seems that they had went through the trouble of journeying out of their room, only to listen to the chaos downstairs.
Something terrible had happened with Mini Frisk's family, that Frisk was sure of. It made their chest hurt with sadness and a hint of fear, as they imagined what it would be like if their family...
Frisk sighed, crouching near the other, who sniffled and looked up at them with the look of someone desperately pretending they're fine when they're really not. Frisk offered a hand, not saying anything.
Mini Frisk stared at the hand for a few moments, before pushing themselves up and brushing off their shorts. Once they had hesitantly clambered up and settled on Frisk's palm, Frisk carefully cradled the miniature human near their chest. Small hands pressed against their fingers for support, and Frisk marveled at such a small size.
But Frisk had found an underground dwelling full of magical monsters, along with gaining the ability to reset time, so finding a tiny version of themself from another timeline isn't too hard to accept now.

"... I killed them..."
Frisk paused from where they were putting away their homework, glancing at their bedside table where Little Them had been nibbling on pieces of fish fillet.
"I killed them all..." Their voice cracked.
Frisk slowly closed their backpack and sat on their chair. Their heartbeat was starting to pick up, heavy with a slow realization that they desperately wished wasn't true. They opened their mouth a few times.
"What...?"
"I killed them! That's what happened!" Little Frisk burst out almost angrily, except pain shone through the tears gathering in their eyes.
"And you know what?" They laughed, high pitched and manic. "It was so easy. What will Sans do if I kill Papyrus? What if I kill Undyne, what will Papyrus say? If I kill most of everyone in the Underground, what happens then? And they never remember anything! I reset and reset and kill and they forget so it doesn't really matter!"
Frisk felt cold. They hadn't killed anyone in the Underground, they spared every single monster until they managed to free everyone from their prison. But Frisk... Frisk would never admit it to anyone... Frisk had contemplated doing exactly what the other had done.
Faced with the embodiment of this desire... Frisk felt cold.
The other Frisk buried their face in their hands, laughter starting to sound too much like crying.
