Hi, my name is Jacqui. I'm 17 and this is my story.

I can hear the dead leaves crunching underneath my feet as I walk as I make my way to the cemetery.

My feet come in front of a grave I haven't visited for a while.

In loving memory of
Jacob Alford 1971-2016
He will be remembered.

I sigh.
I sit down and cross my legs.

I keep reading the date of when he was born and when he died.

He was only 45.

He still had the rest of his life ahead of him.

I place my head in my hands and start to cry.

He shouldn't have been the one to give up his life, he wasn't the reckless driver.

I cry harder and I just let the tears flow.

(Three months later)
"Jacqui, your gonna be late!" Yelled my mum.
"I'm coming!" I yelled back.

I run downstairs and grab and Apple to eat. I grab my bag and rush out the door.

I don't live far away from my school so I always walk unless my mum offers to drop me off.

I start walking and in 10 minutes I arrive at school.

I enter through the school gate and I am greeted with a pearly white smile and electric green eyes.

"Hey Zach." I smile at him. I run up and jump into his arms.

"Hey Jac," his grin gets larger if that's even possible.

"You ready for the calculus test this morning?" I ask him.

A worried expression soon takes over his face.

"Crap, no I forgot." I smile at his worried expression. He couldn't get any cuter.

"Don't worry, you can borrow my notes," I give him a smile.

He sighs thankfully.

"Thank you so much Jac. I couldn't ask for any else to have by my side. You are always there for me and you always help me out and I'm so grateful for everything," he finishes his small speech and hugs me again.

I sigh in comfort when he hugs me.
I could stay like this all day.

The bell for the first period rings.

I hear Zach groan in frustration.

"I don't want to have that test. I wish I had studied..."

I smile and hug him.
"Don't stress. You'll do great," I leave a small kiss on his cheek.

His cheeks turn a pink and I giggle.

I grab his hand and entwine our fingers.

We walk into the hall and I leave him to get my books.

I turn around and place my arms around his neck.

I lean up and kiss his lips.

He places his hands on my waist and returns the kiss.

I pull away first.

"Bye, see you second period for calculus," I smile and hug him.

I walk towards my locker and open it.

I grab my biology books and my calculus notes as well as my pencil case.

I shut my locker door and my scream echoes the hall. "Steph!"
