I held it off for the whole day. My hands were more clammy then they've ever been and I couldn't even look to the window where the oracle sadly lived.
When dinner was served, I avoided eye contact with Percy. Most likely he didn't spare a glance to me, but their was some weight with seeing him sit alone.
My siblings were lead back to our cabin. But I had to get it done, I could've sworn the waves were getting more harsh. It could be my paranoia, but if Poseidon wants me to get a prophecy, I can't hold back from getting that prophecy.
Dionysus was still not around and Chiron was still outside. I climbed up the ladder to get into the attic and held my breath. She was in the same spot as usual and I kept myself composed.
A shiver jolted me, as it's eyes were turned right onto me. Usually, that's not what I'd have the pleasure of witnessing first up. But the oracle never was pleasant, so what's new.
The reality that this was it, sunk in deep. I've waited for this moment my whole life and it's leading to this. I always thought I'd go on a quest with Luke and maybe Grover or someone else. But not like this. I never thought I'd have a quest that could mean something enough that my moms rival would arrive personally to tell me to do so.
I was barely breathing the musty air, I didn't even open my mouth to ask when the oracle opened her mouth and green mist poured out.
Till, gray vast
Scars past shall reap
Visit the North west green field
Dedicating the Choice defineing famine
It wasn't what I expect. Something about it All was off.
Though every word it sprouted out I was repeating through my mind not to forget. When the oracle finished, I stood there still repeating it to make sure I recalled it all, remembering I forgot my notepad.
Almost tripping on a past demigods wins, I rushed out and ran to the cabin. Digging through my stuff, ruining the neat layout I had. I ignored the curious looks of my siblings as they readied for bed, I scribbled the words down and stashed it into my pocket.
Observing everyone pretending not to pay attention to me I took a deep breath, registering how they're all ready for bed and I should probably go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and maybe get some more time to look over this prophecy, otherwise it will keep me up all night.
After quickly showering, I was left to brushing my teeth, I did the obvious thing and looked at my eyes in the mirror. Please don't tell me, gray vast, is my eyes. That can't be it, it sounds stupid and leads to no where... But if I add on Scars past shall reap, maybe it's not as stupid to think about.
Maybe I should spend extra time pacing and thinking, but if I have to decide to maybe leave tomorrow, or finally tell someone, I need to do the logical thing and sleep. Making sure everything's secure in my small bag and fitting the notepad in my jumpers pocket, I exited the bathroom.
The star themselves could guide you to your cabin, but there were still lit standing lanterns just in case.
Walking back, my feet stopped themselves as I caught a glimpse of a figure exiting the Zeus cabin.
My heart fluttered. There's only one child of Zeus and if she's here I've got to see her. But the figure looked not how I would imagine Thalia.
Walking towards it in the night I reached the door of the cabin, its golden exterior, glowing in the night itself.
But the figure was gone. My fingers getting more fidgeting with the possibilities. I turned away from the cabin and the person in front of me was not who I expected.
And Luke sure didn't seem to want me there either.

We're getting another percy Jackson adaption! My expectations are low, because high expectations don't get surpassed for me. I'm just glad it's getting another chance it deserves.
