30. Horizon

Nang dumilat ako ay agad akong tumayo. Gumasgas pa ako sa cemented table nang nagmadali akong lumayo doon.

I kept myself quiet even if the pain is killing me. Tinignan ko ang mahapding parte ng paa ko, doon ko lang narealize kung gaano kahaba ang gasgas.

Iika-ika akong naglakad papunta sa bathroom para hugasan ang sugat ko. I can feel my blood dripping. Nang buhusan ko ang parte ng paa kong may sugat, ay dahan-dahan ko ding nilinisan.

I was confused when all the bloods were washed off. Walang sugat. Nawala yung hapdi, at wala na ring bakas na kahit ano.

Pagkalabas ko ng bathroom, naramdaman kong may bumagsak sa paa ko. I was wearing pajamas, pero paano ako nagasgasan kanina?

Bumalik ako sa cemented table at mayroon pang bakas ng mga dugo doon. Tinignan ko ang dinaanan ko kanina, may mga traces of blood din.

Napaupo ako at tinignan ang mga dugo. Nananaginip pa din ba ako? Nagulat ako nang may marinig akong bumagsak sa bathroom.

What made me more confused was Walter and Isaac rushing to the bathroom without noticing me.

Sinundan ko sila ng tingin, pagbalik nila ay may akay silang babae.

"Aurora, anong nangyari sayo?" alalang tanong ni Walter. Iniupo nila ang babae sa tabi ko, was it Kate?

"I don't kn-"

"Gumasgas kasi yung paa ko." sagot ng babae, cutting me off. She sounded asleep, parang wala na siya sa sarili niya. Agad akong tumayo at tinignan sila. That girl, that was me.

Pinapanood ko silang gamutin ang sugat sa paa ng babae. That girl was me, that was Aurora, and I am Aurora.

"Aurora! Come with us over the Horizon." Napalingon ako sa likod ko at nakita ko si Kevin. He was asking me to come with him to the Horizon? Wait, he said come with us.

I held onto Kevin's hands, "Kev, nananaginip ba ako?" wala sa sarili kong tanong.

"Who's Kevin?" takang tanong niya. Nagulat ako nang pumasok kami sa tent nilang tatlo, but it seem so large dahil hindi kami nakayuko sa loob.

"Kev, quit joking please." I pleaded.

"Aurora, don't cry. I am not joking. " sabi niya, we stopped walking when we arrived to somewhere. I looked around and it was their house when I first came here. The first dream in that desert.

"She came back." Hongjoong said. They all went to me, but San looked at me with fear in his eyes.

"He saw you, and the other you." Yunho said.

"Kevin, you know them?" tanong ko kay Kev na kasama kong pumunta dito.

"Who's Kevin?" takang tanong nilang lahat.

Tinignan ko silang lahat, lalo akong naguluhan. Kevin and Wooyoung look so much alike. Is Wooyoung, Kevin or is Kevin, Wooyoung?

Pinaupo nila ako at pinainom ng tubig. "What do you mean other me?" tanong ko kay Yunho.

"We found the map. But they are trying to ruin everything." Hongjoong's answer were kind of far from what I asked.

"The Map?" questions started forming in my mind, what map? When? Where? How? Are they really pirates? Am I still dreaming?

"The Map to treasure." he answered. "The end is getting closer."

"Wait, you're not even answering my question!" inis kong sigaw, making them move away from me.

I looked at them and they are looking at me with surprise on their faces. San hugged onto Kevin, no, that's Wooyoung.

"How could you not know? It was you all along." Seonghwa said in his deep voice. He looked so tired of everything.

Me? Ako na naman?

Okay, Awie, this is just a dream. I'm in my big dream. I started convincing myself. Bakit naman ako mananaginip tungkol sa ganito? My age is greater than the braincells I have left in me.

"Aurora, you have to take us there. Beyond the horizon." Hongjoong said.

"Can you hear yourself? How can I even do that? How can a sixteen year old take eight people beyond the horizon?" sagot ko kay Hongjoong.

"Aurora, you're setting your own limits. You don't know what you're capable of." sabi niya.

Lalo akong naguluhan. Dreams weren't made to be like this. Bakit ganito? Hindi ko na maintindihan.

I already wanted to wake up, I wanted to tell tito Alistair everything. Natatakot na ako.

"Remember when we told you not to sleep?" tanong ni Hongjoong.

Back then? I floated. Did I? It was a dream, anything can happen.

"Will you take us to the treasure?" tanong ni Mingi.

I exhaled. "I don't know if I can, but let's try." sabi ko nalang.

Lalapit sana ako kay Seonghwa nang bigla akong mapaluhod. Agad akong inalalayan ni Yunho at ni Seonghwa.

Biglang humapdi ang paa ko. Tinignan ko iyon at nagsimula na ulit dumugo.
