29. Answer

"Aurora? Okay ka lang ba jan?" I heard rustling outside the tent. I looked around me and Kate's sleeping bag is already empty.

Nagulat nalang ako nang bumukas ang tent at niyakap ako ni Walter. What is happening? Tears started to sream down my eyes after remembering what happened to San. He poofed into so many blue butterflies the moment he was strucked by the thunder.

"It was just a dream." he calmed me while getting me out of the tent.

"Why is Aurora a sixteen year old yet a big baby?" I heard Kevin. Hindi ko alam kung nang aasar ba siya o ano.

"What time is it now?" tanong ko. Maliwanag na kaya siguro ay magtatanghali na.

"It's already ten, umalis na nga sila tita. Antagal mong matulog." sagot ni Kate, I looked at her with a lot of confusion. Saan naman pupunta sila mama ngayon? Kakaalis lang nila kahapon ah?

 

"You better treat us today, ikaw ang huling nagising." sabi naman ni Kev. I looked around and to the four of them. Nakabihis na silang lahat, uuwi na ba sila ngayon?

"Saan kayo pupunta? Ang aga niyo namang uuwi, diba sabi niyo mamayang gabi pa?" takang tanong ko at umayos ng upo.

"Awie, anong sinasabi mo? Bukas ng gabi pa kami uuwi. Gusto mo na agad kami umuwi ngayon?" nagtatakang tanong ni Kate.

"Bakit bukas? May pasok na bukas diba?" tanong ko pabalik. Pinaprank ba nila ako?

Wally held onto my shoulders. "What day is it today?" tanong niya.

I was confused fo a moment. Of course its Sunday, October 18, two days after Alice's Birthday. "It's October 18, of course." sagot ko. They all looked at me with worried faces.

"Awie, it's only October 17." Kate said showing her phone. It is really October 17, and it's already ten in the morning.

I froze. Yesterday didn't happened? Hindi pa kami gumagala? I thought we played on the arcades already? We even went to karaoke bar. Those were just dreams?

"Let's toast like a thunder." that voice, I heard it once again. It was San, I know it was his voice. I looked around and everyone disappeared. I am still sitting on our cemented table when lightnings started flashing.

"Are you confused, Aurora?" I heard a different voice. It felt like it was just near me.

It suddenly went dark. Everything went black. "Gold, eternal life, honor, love, fame. It doesn't matter what you dream for, what could be Aurora's treasure?" Pakiramdam ko pinaglalaruan ako ng boses na iyon.

My treasure?

"What is your treasure?" Biglang lumiwanag nang marinig ko ang bulong na iyon ng isang babae. Agad akong napatayo nang makita ang paligid ko.

I looked straight to where I was sitting earlier. Hindi na iyon ang cemented table sa bahay. It looked fancy. Parang nasa isang dining hall ako ng mga mayayaman.

There's a long fancy 12- seaters table,  and the table set up kind of reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. Those candles, and too many wine and beer glasses. I looked up the ceiling and saw a beautiful chandelier.

Where could I be? Nananaginip pa rin ba ako? Buhay pa ba ako?

Napahawak ako sa upuan nang biglang lumindol. I don't know if it was an earthquake, but the ground really moved.

Nagulat ako nang makita kong may mga tao na sa harap ko. May mga tao nang nakaupo sa lamesa. On my left point of view, there were eight men with I don't know what kind of fashion are they wearing, but atleast they weren't wearing something funeral friendly. They were looking to their opposite, but why are they looking so disgusted.

Napalingon din ako sa tinitignan nila. Looking similar to them, but still different. These men on my right were wearing an all black outfit from head to, maybe to their toes. They were also wearing expensive looking necklaces, chain necklaces.

I started to look at them intently, and my eyes enlarged when I realized something. "Hongjoong?" tanong ko nang mamukhaan ang nasa kaliwang dulo ko. He was looking so disgusted to the person opposite to him. I tried to look at the person he was looking at.

These persons on my right were all wearing hats, and it kinda cover their faces. Nang mamukhaan ko ang nasa harap ni Hongjoong ay agad akong napaatras. There were two Hongjoongs?

"San!" I tried calling each of them, but they don't seem to be hearing me. Nagulat ako nang biglang nag glitch. It felt like I was just watching them inside the tv.

Nang tignan ko ulit sila ay may babae nang pumapagitna sa dalawang Hongjoong. She looked furious looking straight at me. She looks so scary, bakit naman siya magagalit sa akin. She's dressed like she's part of those men on my right side. May black hat din siyang suot at mga kwintas.

"Aren't you scared yet?" nakangising tanong ng babae sa kabilang dulo. Her hat keeps herself hidden, kaya hindi ko siya mamukhaan.

Nagulat ako nang biglang nagdilim. Yes I am scared, who wouldn't be? Hindi ko alam kung naaswang ba ako, kung nananaginip pa ba ako, o kung patay na ba ako.

"Aurora..." I felt chills hearing them calling my name. Alam kong hindi lang iisang tao ang tumawag sa akin. "What a lovely name, Aurora."

"Sino ba kayo?!" pasigaw kong tanong. Everything was dark. My eyes were open but it feels closed.

"Ikaw Aurora, sino ka ba?" mapaglarong wika ng isang babae, she sounded like me.

"Kakasabi mo lang, ako si Aurora." naiinis kong sabi. Biglang lumiwanag ang paligid.

"Are you sure, you are Aurora?" napatingin ako sa harap ko. I am now standing in the middle of the two Hongjoongs. I looked to the other end of the table.

That was me.
