Julia's heart was pounding in her chest and she could no longer fight back the unbearable urge to scream. 

There was nothing else she could do. 

She was powerless in comparison to the large, grey-haired man in front of her, who had the love of her life by the throat. 

Michael's eyes were starting to pop out of his head. 

His face had been flushed red but started to turn blue as the life drained from his body, and Julia felt as though she were dying with him. 

Panicking, she cried out, begging for the attacker to stop. 

She could no longer take the horror before her eyes, and suddenly overcame her immobilising shock. 

She jumped to her feet and ran at him, unable to bear the thought of losing Michael. 

Julia lunged at the attacker, but he was too quick for her ...
