a few days passed with radio silence between the two of them. it was much needed for addie who took time to reflect on herself, working through her regrets and struggles.
and yet,
on a lazy sunday, she had been scrolling through her facebook feed when she had seen that zach had been tagged in a picture.
with rhea.
it was a selfie. zach's lips were pulled up to one side like how he smiled when he was with her. rhea was snuggled underneath his arms, her smile radiating throughout the picture. she was happy. he was happy.
and it was very obvious that they were no longer best friends at this point. underneath the picture, there were many comments congratulating the new couple.
her heart fell to her stomach, feeling as heavy as ever.
but what did she expect? she was the one who broke up with him. she was the one who broke his heart. if anyone, it should have been zach feeling heartbroken.
but she didn't expect him to move on so quickly.
maybe because she thought she had meant something to him.
but obviously not.
