Melody woke up in Yoongi's bed by herself and from the light that came into the room though the curtains she assumed the house would probably be empty by now. She sighed as she got up, not even wondering how she had gotten in Yoongi's bed or why she wasn't wearing her pants anymore.

Melody went up to her room to get some clothes before taking a shower and getting ready for a new, probably boring, day. With a loud sigh she planted herself on the couch, this time grabbing Yoongi's laptop instead of immediately turning to the tv.

It was very tempting to go back to the 5th floor and try to see her mother again. She was convinced that if she tried now, she could probably remain in her human form. But Melody wasn't actually sure if that was what she wanted anymore.

If somehow her mother were to find out about her secret... The realization that she had beaten up her own daughter would probably be too much for her.. Her mother had always been a sweet mother. A bit controlling, sure, but only because she wanted the best for her daughter. Melody was taught many things so she would be a great marriage prospect once she was grown up. She spoke Korean, Japanese, English, French and Cantonese. Besides that she had been taught to cook, sew, play multiple instruments and other random things that might come in handy some day in her mothers eyes.

Besides visiting the 5th floor there really wasn't much for Melody to do. She could go to the shops, but had no money to buy anything. She could go outside, but after multiple years of being a stray cat.. she had seen enough of that too. And so, Melody used the laptop to find something to fill her days with besides the general up-keep of the apartment.

She could teach the piano or violin Melody thought before realizing she actually owned neither of those at the moment and would definitely need to practice first. Maybe a babysitting job was more up her alley? But then what if she suddenly turned into a cat? Besides the shock the kids would have to go though, she couldn't exactly babysit in cat-form.

Most nine to five jobs were out of the question since she had never actually finished her high school education, which seemed to be a minimum requirement.

The more Melody looked, the more useless she started to feel and by the time the guys came back from another busy day she was cuddled up in Yoongi's blankets in her cat-form.

"Awww... what's wrong my little kitty?" Yoongi asked when he finally found her as he brought his laptop back to his room. A sad and soft 'meow' left her lips as she tried to hide her face from him. Yoongi wasn't having it though. He picked her up and hugged her as tight as he could without hurting her.

"What have you been up to that you're like this?" He asked opening his laptop and looking at the open tabs. He paused for a second, not sure what to think.

"Were you trying to find a job?" He didn't look at her, but he could feel the cat nod in his arms.

"Why were you looking for a job?" Yoongi was curious, on the one hand understanding, on the other hand hurt. Had she been unhappy? Why hadn't he realized this before? Yoongi had thought the girl wanted more time with them, not less time in the apartment. Did she want to leave? Was she going to leave them?

To get his mind off of all the negative thoughts, Yoongi left for the living room, taking Melody with him, still in a strong embrace in his arms.

"How many more movies are they going to make like this?" Hoseok asked pointing at something on the tv. "Lonely princess locked in a tower all by herself.. Isn't this way overdone?" He asked to no one in particular.

"You mean like this?" Taehyung asked, continuing to play out the whole scene with Jimin as the princess and himself as prince charming. Jungkook, who of course had to join his hyungs in goofing off,  decided he was a prince from a different castle, who was also on a quest for the princess and would not accept that Taehyung had come there first. Hoseok even decided to join, playing the dragon who neither princes had fought before getting to the princess's tower.

The guys were so into their story that Hoseok's 'wings' almost hit the food that Namjoon was placing on the table out of his hands.

"Guys sit down and act normal! food is done." Seokjin yelled over the noise. "Only seven plates I see?" He added once his eyes fell on Yoongi and the feline in his arms. Yoongi just nodded and grabbed some more cat-appropriate food from the closet.

The three busybodies calmed down once they saw the cat.

"Does this mean that she's sad?" Taehyung whispered worried.

"I guess so." Yoongi mumbled whilst stroking the white fur on the feline's head.

Again, Jungkook inspected his hyung curiously before everyone got their food. Yoongi's answer the night before hadn't given him enough information to come to conclusions.
