2- Figuring It Out

Lisa POV

It caused me pain, literal pain, when I had to separate our hands and leave to my next class. I remembered my time here in Korea depended on my grades so I would do my best..for Jennie. She didn't talk much, but I had a feeling it was because of everyone around us more so than me being the problem.

I made a few friends before lunch began, many trying to show me around and a few talked too slow for my liking. They probably thought I wouldn't understand them well if they spoke freely. Mina and Dara led me to the cafeteria for lunch and I could feel that feeling again.

Was Jennie here? My heart quickened as I frantically searched for her. When I spotted her, I saw she was sitting with two other gorgeous girls. I frowned at that, how could I compete with that? I was too plain looking to even consider seating next to the model.

I followed behind Mina as we sat as a table. I could feel Jennie's angry eyes looking at me I couldn't help but squirm. She may be shorter than me but she was way scarier. Then I panicked a little, did I make her upset with me?!

"So Lisa," Mina distracted me from my over thinking. "How are you finding Korea? Do you miss Thailand?"

"Korea is nice and yes I miss my family, but I like it here." Especially now. I smiled at them and ate my food, suddenly very hungry.

"Don't freak out but Kim Jennie is staring at you." I frowned at how she rolled her eyes, why did I feel like punching her in that moment? Jennie was kind, why did it sound like they couldn't stand the sight of her.

"The girls next to her are Park Chaeyoung and Kim Jisoo, they're a total couple." I shrugged at that information, same sex relationships were common to me. "Chaeyoung is a total child and Jisoo is like a statue, she never shows any emotion."

"And Jennie?" That's all I really cared to know about. I didn't want to sound rude, but she intrigued me immensely.

"Kim Jennie is not a good person to be around. She's very rude and acts out with anger. She's such a bitch-," I saw Jennie start walking over to us, "and she literally has no manners." Mina droned on, not noticing the angry but sexy Jennie behind her.

Dara cleared her throat violently and Mina gulped. "And she's totally standing behind me isn't she?" We nodded and she turned with a sheepish smile. I could've sworn I seen a tiny smirk form on Jisoo for a split second and a huge grin was on Chaeyoung.

"Next time you want to bad mouth me in front of my girl," she grabbed my hand and pulled me into her side, "at least keep that energy when I confront you instead of acting like a little bitch."

I saw Jennie grab the bottle of water and I quickly grabbed it. "Jennie don't. Please." Her eyes softened and frowned, leading me away to her table. I totally was freaking out at how she called me her girl, why was I so excited? Why was I allowing this?

"Hello!" Chaeyoung immediately said as we sat down, she had a cute Australian accent. "I'm Rosé. You must be Jennie's ma- OW!"

Jisoo smiled too tightly at her. "Sorry babe was that your foot?" Rosé glared at her and Jisoo turned to me. "I'm Kim Jisoo, Jennie's older sister."

I bowed to her. "Lalisa Manoban, but you can call me Lisa." Jisoo didn't seem so expressionless once the introductions finished. She actually ignored us and focused on whatever Rosé was pointlessly ranting about. Looking as if that were the most intriguing story.

"I'm really sorry I claimed you like that Lisa." Jennie spoke with such sadness, I pouted. I didn't like that look, I preferred her smiling at me like she was earlier. I immediately hugged her, "Jennie I don't care about that I just don't want you sad."

"God you smell so good." Rosé said and Jennie snapped her head at her, her eyes warning her of something and Jisoo immediately defended her. "What she meant was her perfume smelt good!"

I didn't have any on? Jennie stood up and held her hand to me, which I took with no question. I grabbed my bag and waved to them as Jennie pulled us out of the cafeteria.

Jennie POV

What the hell was Rosé thinking?! I swear to god if Lisa knew our secret I would have let my growl rip through. I know damn well she meant Lisa's blood, but I couldn't stay mad at my little sister. She was the newest and we never let a human sit close by our table, Lisa's blood must've made her hungry.

I had to get my angel to safety, I trusted Rosé but the mate in me screamed to get her away from there. I thanked my stars when Lisa didn't put up a fight when I called her my girl, if anything she liked it. She was going with this mate bonding much better than I expected.

I heard her heart skip a beat and smiled to myself. This was going really well for our first day so far. I wouldn't be selfish with my Lisa, I wouldn't turn her the first day of meeting her. I would let her get to know me first and my secret and make her own choice.

The choice I never got.

"Jennie?" Her soft voice said to me, her hand on my cheek causing tingles to shoot through me. I looked into her eyes and saw she was worried. I must've zoned out too long. I smiled at her to let her know I was okay.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course Lisa."

"What is happening. I know this isn't natural and I'm very observant. There's something going on."

Fuck. I didn't want to tell her so fucking soon! I couldn't lie to her, but I also couldn't slip our secret the first day. "Please don't lie to me," she pleaded and I mentally cursed her doe eyes.

"How about later tonight I'll tell you? I promise." She didn't look too happy with that but still nodded. As soon as classes were over I needed to talk with my coven to see what I should do. We exchanged numbers and she told me more about her passions.

I walked her to her class and gave her a kiss on the cheek, wanting some of my scent on her. I didn't see her for the rest of the day, but I had to hurry home. I decided to run home, too anxious to sit in a car.

Jisoo and Rosé came in the door and I saw tears in the red heads eyes. "Jennie please don't hate me. I promise I would never try to harm Lisa." I frowned, pulling her into a hug.

"Rosie, I know you wouldn't. It's just my first day with my human mate I was bound to be extra protective." She nodded and smiled when she realized we were fine.

"You need to turn her." Jisoo said and we looked at her. I know damn well this bitch isn't telling me what to do with my mate. "Lisa is fragile and human. We may welcome her with open arms but I won't risk Rosé and you being exposed."

"That's Lisa's choice to make." I was shocked when Rosie sounded defensive. It was rare she and Jisoo disagreed, more less Rosie using that tone with her wife. "I was human but times were different. Lisa shouldn't have her life switched a day into being in Korea."

"This is really none of your concern." I said to Jisoo who glared at me. "Lisa is my mate. I never spoke my opinion on your choice with Rosie. I just want her to be able to know us better and our secret."

"Jisoo just imagine how scared she would be," Rosie sobbed lightly and Jisoo's glare immediately softened. "She barely knows us and if she woke up a vampire, she could hate us for ruining her life. She deserves this choice."

"You're right I'm sorry." Jisoo frowned as she pulled Rosie into her arms. "I just don't want her to get hurt either. She's fragile and what if she gets into an accident and we aren't around to save her."

"As if I'd ever leave her side." I scoffed, "I'm serious. She's too observant. She's already figured out this bond between us isn't a normal human crush."

Before we could continue my phone rang. I immediately answered it, knowing Lisa was the only other person in my contacts. "Hello?"

"Jennie?" Lisa sobbed into the phone, "I miss you. My body hurts I need you."

"I'm coming. Text me your address." I really didn't need it but I couldn't cause her suspicion if I sniffed her home. Ew I sound like a fucking dog.

Jisoo came over to hug me. "You can tell her, but bring her over. We want to get to know her." I nodded and grabbed the keys to my car before sprinting out to go to my angel.
