Joseph was now in his late 60's. He had a a grandson who loved the ocean, and he was about 17. One day, he got a phone call from him.

Joseph rushed over to Jotaro's house. He led him to the ocean and whistled like he was calling a dog. Suddenly, a boy with cherry red hair and lilac eyes appeared in the water. Joseph then noticed that the boy had an emerald tail.
Just like him. Joseph told the two about Caesar, the love of his life. Jotaro then understood he needed to protect the mermaid he encountered. Then, the mermaid got legs and Kakyoin and Jotaro ended up falling in love. Joseph couldn't be happier.
