I'm currently laying flat on my comfy bed staring into space, thinking...pondering about what my dad said during dinner a couple nights past.

What's so important that we have to be there for that long? what was he hiding? is it going to be a good or bad thing? will it be life changing for me? what if-

My thoughts were interrupted by a vibration coming from my bedside table, it was my phone.

      Juan:

Juan: hey annie😗✌️

Annie: hey John😂

Juan: u busy today??

Annie: nope, why?

Juan: can I come over?

Annie: sure, 12:00?

Juan: okie see u later

Ever since I met Johnny at the café, we've grown very close. Even though it's only been a couple days, it seems like i've known him my whole life. He hasn't met my dad yet considering every time he's over my dad is at work.

I checked my phone to read the time, 11:34, I decided to get ready since Johnny was coming over. I took a quick shower and changed into a green plaid shirt, denim jeans, & white shoes.

By the time I finished it was 11:57 and if you don't know Johnny like I do, he's a very put together person

By the time I finished it was 11:57 and if you don't know Johnny like I do, he's a very put together person. he's always on time, never too early and never late.

I slid my phone into my back pocket & run downstairs to the kitchen. I kill time and make a drink of iced coffee then I decide to post on my instagram story.

I hit the post button for my story as the time strikes 12:00, following by a knock at the front door. I hold my coffee and run slowly to the front door excitedly.

I opened the door to see a sad Johnny, which caused my to smile to turn into a small pout.

Before you say anything don't get your hopes up because we don't like each other in that way. It's more of a sibling relationship not a lovey dovey one.

"why so sad?" I question as I open the door wider motioning him to come in. "do I need a reason to be so depressing?" he asks as we walk to the living room.

I take a sip from my coffee, "no but you're never usually sad or down" I reply as we sit on the big comfy couch. "w-well you know how my mom is trying to get me home for some dumb reunion?" he sighs.
