Max ended up coming home with me. I ended up deciding to stay at my real home with Steve, except we got back before him. Max danced around my room, singing along to angel as I looked at the magazines she brought over. I open it to a full page of a kid I've seen in a movie before. Max saw this and sat across from me on the bed. "Oh, you found Ralph Macchio," she smirked. "He's from the karate kid movie, right?" I ask. "Yeah," Max replies. "Watch this, ready?" She asks. I nod. "Hai-yah!" She laughs as she does some sort of karate move. "He's so hot, right? I bet he's an amazing kisser, too. Hey, uh... is Mike a good kisser?" Max asked. "I mean, sort of. Yeah, I guess he is. But he's my first boyfriend so I wouldn't know. Is Lucas a good kisser?" I ask. "First of all, Mike is your ex-boyfriend. And second of all, I never kiss and tell. But, yes," she whispers. We both laugh, I end up falling off the bed. "Stop! Stop! I'm gonna pee myself!" Max laughs, running to my bathroom. I laugh even more as I stay on the floor. Max comes back out from the restroom, sitting across me on the floor. "Maybe I was a little hard on, Mike," I blurt. "Hey, don't worry about it. Okay? He'll come crawling back to you in no time, begging for forgiveness. I guarantee you, him and Lucas are, like, totally wallowing in self-pity and misery right now. They're like, "Oh, I hope they take us back." God, what I wouldn't give to see their stupid faces," Max teases. Then, it hit me. "Max. I have an idea. Call El and ask if we could come over and spend the night," I exclaim. Max walks over to the phone. A couple of minutes later, she hangs up. "El said it was okay. Come on, let's go," Max smiles, helping me up from the floor.

El sat on her floor. The static playing from her radio as she tied the bandana to her head. Max and I sat on her bed in amusement. "Is this really gonna work?" Max asks. El nods. "Holy shit, this is insane," Max laughs. "Max," El scolds. "Yeah, quiet. I'm sorry," Max replies.

Mike's pov

"What's wrong with me? What did I do wrong?" I ask. "Nothing," Lucas replies. "What did I do wrong? What could I have done wrong?" I ask, my mouth full of cheese chips. "Mike, do I have to go through this again?" Lucas asks.

Your pov

"I see them," El blurt. Max and I get down on the floor. "What are they doing?" She asks. "Eating," El replies.

Mike's pov

"I just don't understand what I did to deserve this," I exclaim. "Nothing. Nothing. That's my whole point. You are the victim here," Lucas explains. "I know. It's just, why is she treating me this way? I don't know," I begin. "Mike--" Lucas tries cutting me off. "What did I do wrong? What did I do wrong?" I repeat. "Mike, stop. Relax. Just relax. Okay? Stop asking rational questions," Lucas advised. "I know, I know, you're right. You're right," I sigh. "Yeah," Lucas continues. "Because women act on emotion and not logic," I explain. "Precisely. It's a totally different species," Lucas agrees.

Your pov

"They say we are 'species.' " El blurt. "What?" I ask. "Emotion, not logic," El continued. "What?" Max quizzed.

Mike's pov

"Guys, it's ready," Will blurt. "Will, not right now," Lucas advised. "They broke up with you. What else is there to talk about?" Will questioned. "Tons," Lucas replied. "Yeah, we're trying to solve the great mystery of the female species," I continue before letting out a loud-ass burp. "Dude, you can smell the nacho cheese," I chuckle. "I got that beat," Lucas admitted. "What?" I ask. "Oh, no," Will exclaimed. "No, Lucas, no. No!" I beg. I see Lucas lift up his leg before he let out the loudest fart. "Lucas! Lucas!" I shout

El quickly ripped off the bandana. "What happened?" I ask. El suddenly burst out into giggles, resulting in Max and I to do the same. We heard a car approach outside. We turned on some music and pulled out more magazines. All of a sudden, Hopper flung the door open. "Do you knock? Jeez!" Max sassed. "Yeah! Jeez!" El repeat. "Hey, Hop," I smile. "Oh, hey. I'm sorry. I've just had uh--" Hopper began. "A bad night? Me too," I finish. "Shouldn't you be hanging out with Mike?" Hopper asked. "Nope," I retort, popping the P. "They wanted to have a sleepover. Is that... okay?" El asked. "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Your parents know about it?" Hopper asked. Max nodded. "Mine don't care," I reply. "Uh, yeah, it's cool. Yeah. That's--That's really cool," Hopper slurred. "Did you need something?" Max asked. "No, no. Uh, I'll leave. I'll just let you... I'll leave you... " Hopper mumbles before walking out.

"Holy shit, I can't believe we're really doing this," Max breathed as we wrote down names. "Ready?" We ask El. "Ready," She replies. "Mr. Wheeler," We mumble. "Ugh. Boring," I groan. "Yeah, boring," El whispers. "Spin again," Max chuckles. "Against the rules?" El asks. " We make our own rules," Max explains. El spins again. It lands on Billy. "Okay, look, I should just warn you, if he's with a girl or doing something gross just get out of there right away before you're scarred for life," Max explains as she brings over the radio and the blindfold. "Max--" El begins. "No, I'm just saying, I'm serious. He's really gross," Max continues. "Max!" El repeats. "Okay, shutting up now," Max apologizes. El slipped the blindfold on as we sat in silence. "I found him," El blurt. "What's he doing?" Max asks. "I don't know. He's... on the floor... talking to someone," El whispered. She rips off her blindfold, gasping as she did so. "What is it?" I ask. "What happened?" Max follows. She only looks at us, breathing heavily.
