In the time between Christmas to before summer. Y/n and Mike had gotten closer. Too close for everyone's liking. The two were practically inseparable. "Always down each other's throats. Literally," as Dustin would often say. But Max and Lucas got it because they were the same. Will, Dustin, and El, however, were not pleased. (although, Dustin would get it soon as well). As for Steve, after he graduated high school, he got rejected by every college he applied to. Leaving him stuck in the shit-hole he knew as home. With a sister who was barely at their home, because she was always with her home, which was wherever Mike was.
Mike and y/n had made it official Christmas eve. Mike had gotten down on one knee and given y/n the jacket he promised he'd give her the day she almost died for him. They both cried, and Mrs. Wheeler took photos while Mr. Wheeler laughed that Mike had finally found a girl.
