"That was a little aggressive, Desti...do you think thats gonna get a positive reception?" Eva slowly looks at her friend, feeling concerned for the aftermath.
"It'll be fine. If anything, they'll be afraid, I tried making it as clear as day that I hate those judgemental assholes! And if they harm any of you guys im gonna fuck them up!" Desti cheers, assuring Eva safety.
"Then lets go see the reception.." Eva slowly holds her hand and walks out with her.

"Whats your worries about it?" Desti asks
"Its just...what if they insult you...?" Eva looks at her.
"That'll be fine. I'll just give them a piece of my mind if you get what im saying!" Desti grins proudly
Eva grabs her by the shoulders, pausing where they were walking "Desti...what you just did was the riskiest shit you could've ever done..." Eva whimpers. "I dont know if I can handle seeing you be ridiculed any longer..." She starts tearing up "what if they try to force me away from you!? I am a normal octoling! They're gonna try to take me away from you! Just like my mother and father! Then what!? I'll live in a constant depression because I-...." Eva pauses herself there.
Desti takes the moment of silence to wrap her arms around Eva and rock her back and forth gently. She pets Eva's head, "Hey, hey, hey...its alright, Eva...I can take it...and if they try taking you from me, it'll be a one woman war. Because nobody takes my best friend from me..." Desti smiles. The two stare into each others eyes.
Eva got entranced, until she was yanked down the steps.
"Cmon we got reactions to see!" Desti said excitedly.

Desti walked out and looked at everyone. She grins, expecting quiet surprise. Nothing happens.
She opens her eyes to see most people have continued their day, although in a more confused light.
Desti looked surprised herself, in a slightly ironic twist.
"Seems...nobody cared" Eva shrugs.
An inkling finally sees Desti. Their eyes widen, opening their mouth to call her out. Suddenly something rips the two girls away from the impending doom.

"A-Desti! Is that-a...oh...oh-a dear..." The figure steps back a little.
Desti was hugging onto Eva, laying on top of her in a protective way.
Eva looked confused, hiding her face in Desti's turtleneck.

The figure steps into a light "Desti. Its-a me."
Desti looks and smiles widely, getting off of Eva and standing in front of him "Uncle Mario!"
Eva slowly looks up "uncle? Which side is he from??" She thought they meant literally, and questioned the genetics.
Desti chuckles "they all react that. He's not my real uncle. Just a family friend."
Eva nods and walks up to him, shaking his hand. "Im Eva, her best friend"
Mario looks at Desti and smirks "Best Friend? Those weren't the descriptive words I-a heard.."
Desti blushes a dark red and hides her face in her tentacles "Uncle no!"
"Well....anyways, I've come to take you two home" Mario nods.
"But....why?" Desti asks.

Mario laughs nervously and grabs them both by the hand. He starts walking back towards home.

Mario knocks on the door of the Spletzer residence. A quick breeze rushed on them as the door opened. Tari hugged Desti tightly "there you are!"
"Oh...was I gone too long?" Desti chuckles nervously, looking back at Eva.
"No, no, sweetie. Its just...Meggy and I wanna talk to you about...the video" Tari slowly looks behind Desti "oh...who is this?"
"Im...Eva. Desti is my girlfriend!" She pauses, realizing her wording "I mean- uh- she's my friend that is a girl."
Tari chuckles and opens the door for them. "Thanks again for finding her Mario.."
"Its-a no problem, Tar. Shes-a my niece-a. I gotta take-a some responsibility!" Mario jokes, Tari laughing too. "Alright then, be free to visit anytime. And dont get the spaghetti pregnant, Luke's already got Desti, Axol's daughter, and teenage Boopkins to worry about."
Mario nods and starts slowly walking away, Tari closing the door and walking into the living room.
She sits down on the sofa, looking at Meggy. "How do we explain this to them...?"
Desti looked at them confused "explain what? Did I do something wrong?"
Meggy sighs "sweetie you cant..."
Desti lifted an eyebrow "cant what?"
Meggy hides her face in her hands "you just cant.."
"Cant what? Say the words, mom." Desti looks at her.
"You cant just go hacking the system for support!!" Meggy yelps.
"What else are we gonna do? Sing a dumb fucking song?" Desti looked confused "because as far as I can tell, that was my only choice!"
"You could've put out flyers, made a mural, or we would gladly pay for a segment news report for you!" Meggy suggests, looking her daughter in the eyes "but hacking Inkopolis News? Desti, we didn't raise you like this!"
"Well maybe I wanna be risky, maybe its what'll save the team!?" Desti yells, shedding a few tears.
Tari leans over and holds Meggy close, petting her head "Meggy, calm down, remember when I was pregnant and you promised to never freak out on your baby? Lets refer to that now ok..?" Tari nods slowly, kissing Meggy's forehead gently.
Meggy whimpers angrily and hugs Tari back, unable to resist her wife.
"Now Meggy, lets try seeing this from your perspective..." Tari nods.
"Well...it was wrong, probably illegal, and there was many more alternatives to go for." Meggy states calmly.
"Well, to me. It was the only way. People would laugh at us if I didn't set the message straight." Desti crosses her arms "which is that im tired of Inkopolis's bullshit and we should all be treated fairly"
Tari looks at the octoling girl beside Desti. "Eva, Whats your take on this?"
Eva, who had been extremely quiet this entire conversation, looks at Tari with slight surprise.
"Oh....well...." Eva sighs "Mrs. Spletzer, I see your case here...there was more peaceful alternatives...but...you have to understand...chaos...sometimes solves everything. The whole world had to threaten to put all their feet into Hitler's ass before he stopped...." Eva inhales "Im sorry, but I feel like it was the best way to go about it..."
Meggy inhales and prepares to spout an argument. Tari grabs Meggy's hand "Meggy...she has a point...its okay to accept that a child is right..."
Meggy sighs and nods, "alright...I guess you two have a point..."
"Hey...speaking of ideas..." Eva said softly "Mrs Spletzer? Your a Splatfest champion, right?"
Meggy lifts her head and nods. "Yeah, why?"
"Maybe you could help us practice!" Eva suggests. Desti looks at her and smiles widely "yeah! Thats a good idea! Maybe we can learn tricks from a master!"
"And we could use you to embrace the advantages of our imperfections!" Eva grins.
"Please mom??" Desti begs. "I know we just fought but I know how much you love them!"
Meggy looked hesitant "I dunno, sweetie..."
Tari smirks and leans on Meggy's shoulder. She wraps her arm around her slowly, leaning close towards her ear "if you do, I'll set Desti's bedtime an hour early for our own sacred time~"
Meggy pauses as her cheeks slowly become red. "Tari, does it look like I want more kids?"
Tari slowly grabs her tentacles "well no but these haven't been that well moisturized in a while..."
Meggy chuckles and sinks in her seat "Desti will you sleep an hour earlier for it?"
Desti nods excitedly.
Meggy smiles widely and stands up. She slowly walks out of the living room and closes the door behind her.

Desti and Eva can hear her yelling faint words outside the door.

"YES, MOTHER OF GOD, THANK YOU TO THE GREAT ZAPFISH IM GONNA BE GETTING MY TREAT FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE DESTI WAS CONCEIVED!" Was all they could really make out.

"Jesus, mom, what did you do to make her freak out like that?" Desti asks.
"Something we haven't since I found out you existed." Tari giggles.
Desti caught on, and fast. She blushes hard "mom...promise me i wont get a sibling after this..."
Tari shakes her head "it took us forever to have you. I doubt it."
"I dont understand, im not catching on...." Eva looked confused, not catching onto the audio cues.
"....Feel lucky." Desti hides her face slowly.
