once was a pair of lovers

there once was an angel,
who was cast out of heaven
for falling in love with a girl.
she wore her heart
upon the sleeve of her wings
and couldn't cast the stars
from out of her eyes.

with the moonlight on her face
and a certain angel in her heart.
she cried every night
for whoever was up in the sky,
to take her one day
to join her angel in the clouds.

there once was a pair of lovers,
one from the heavenly army above,
and the other
a slowly little girl from the earth.
they loved each other so much
but spent their entire lives
chasing each other.
