Sunlight glares in my eyes as I slowly open them, awarding me with a migraine. I slowly sit up, groaning at the ache in my back. My thoughts blur as I try to remember where I am, how I got here, who I am. A mahogany door across from my bed catches my eye. I hop out of bed and cross over to it, wondering who I might find on the other side. My mom? My dad? I turn the silver handle and find myself in a long, narrow, dimly lit hallway. Right next to my door is another one, so I knock and wait for a response. A deep voice answers me, granting me access. I open this door and find a room similar to my own. A boy stands across from me, tossing his jagged silver bangs out of his pale blue eyes. He looks like a model, from his jet-black hair dyed with silver to his creamy complexion and pink lips. "Do you know where we are?" I question while tugging on an eyelash.

"I could ask you the same thing," he responds, sitting on the bed. "Do you have amnesia as well?"

"Yeah," I answer, wondering if it would be weird if I sat next to him. "Do you know-" The loud creak of the door interrupts me, stopping me mid-sentence.

"Well, it seems you two are finally up," a voice exclaims from behind me. I whip around and see a pale woman in a sleek dress and cape, with her hair twisted into a tight bun.

"Who are you?" I inquire, wondering if this woman is my mother.

Her mouth twists into a smile as she replies, "I'm Lady Gisela. Welcome to the Neverseen!"
