Melody's P.O.V
I began to wake up as the artificial light stung my eyes. The room span as I slowly began to sit up. Where the hell am I?! I suddenly remembered last night, I looked at my arms and realised that I wasn't in my peach silk nightie but my Red Thistle suit.
"Have a nice sleep?" I jumped as he spoke, I never heard him come in. WAIT! I never heard him come in! That's.......that's impossible.
My hands instantly went to my ears, I still had my earpiece in but nothing else. Mason walked over to me dressed in an outfit like mine but in blue, he was holding a vile with gold liquid inside.
"Don't look so worried. Your not losing your hearing. Your just like you were 7 years ago."
"But that's... that's impossible that would make me..."
"Normal. Useless old you again." he finished with a grin, he held up the vile.
"Dr Stein made this before he died. In small doses it can numb the genes in your DNA that cause you to be the Red Thistle for 24 hours. You are normal for the next 15 hours." my mind went hey wire. I can't protect my self if I can't be super.
"I think you should make peace with your thoughts Red Thistle. In 2 hours they will be your last." he slammed the door as he left. I brought my knees to my chest, I took a few deep breathes. I'm trapped and I can't do anything, I switched my ear piece on.
Steve P.O.V
We all sat round the table. I was dressed in my suit ready for action,
"We have a serious problem on our hands." Began Fury,
"Do we know his location?" Natasha asked,
"We still have no way to track him." answered Bruce,
"Do we know why he wrote the note?" I asked,
"No we are still working on it." Clint told us. We were getting no where. For all we know she could be dead, suddenly an agent came running through. We all stood up,
"Her earpiece! We have gotten a connection to it!" He exclaimed,
"Connect us to her!" ordered Fury, the agent tapped the holographic screen that came up in the middle of the table,
"That's you through." he then left the room,
"Miss Thistle can you hear us?" We all froze as we waited to hear a response,
"Miss Thistle are you there?" Fury asked again, there was a long pause.
"I'm here." those two words gave me hope again,
"Thank god." I heard Bruce say,
"Who else is there sir?" she asked,
"The whole team Mel." I spoke,
"Where are you?" asked Natasha getting to the point,
"I'm in a cell."
"Can't you break out?" Clint questioned, I heard her give a sigh.
"No. I can't."
"Come on kido sure you can."
"NO I CAN'T!" she snapped, we all looked at each other.
"Melody what has he done to you?" Thor asked, I heard her sniff.
"My powers are gone. All of them. For the next 15 hours but I don't think I'll have that long." dear god.
"What did he tell you?" Fury asked,
"He said make peace with your thoughts for they will be your last." I could hear her sniffling, he plans to kill her and right now there is a big chance he will.
"We will find you Melody." Thor soothed her,
"I don't think you'll see me again and if that's so."
"Don't talk like that Mel." I interrupted,
"He's right kido. Think like that and he wins." added Tony,
"I need to say this. Whatever happens to me don't let him get away or he do this again and again till none of us are left."
"don't worry Melody, he will pay for what he has done." Bruce informed her,
"Everyone needs to head through to the control room. Melody whatever Mason is planning he wants us to watch by the sound of the note he left. You need to stall for your life depends on it. We can track the signal of the camera as it's filming. Do you understand?" ordered Fury,
"Keep the camera going. Got it." Thor, Fury, Natasha and Clint all went through to the control room as the three of us sat and spoke to Melody.
