These tears tease my eyes as I remember the date,
the date where you died and I fell into a world of self hate.
It seems like just yesterday you lit up my world with your smile,
Made life worth living, made it worth while.
It seems like just the other day you were loving this world,
Your eyes only for me that were always pools of chocolate swirls.
It seems like just yesterday you were touching my hand,
Building castles with me in the sand.
My fingers dancing in the locks of your curls,
Nothing to fear, no unwanted nerves.
Seems like just last week we could feel no hurt,
But now i'm alert as I watched you get buried in the dirt.
It seems like you're still so close to me,
But i'm getting farther away,
Until I can't see,
All the wonderful things you've done, all the memories you left.
I feel so filled with regret,
I feel the tear tracks beginning to set.
It seems like just yesterday we were two peas in a pod,
But now we're separated into two different ones.
A/n: so this one's a little shorter and I didn't edit it at all lol, I might come back to reshape it and make it better, plus, I made it, according to the notes on my phone, two years ago back when my writing sucked.
