Your POV~
Kirito and I ran fullspeed, side by side, down the dirt path. He fired the first shots and we both dodged to the side. We started running zigzag, confusing the gun man. He shot and shot again but we dodged all of his bullets. We were so close when he pulled out a ray gun and fired across the ground. I grabbed Kirito's hand and we leaped out of the line of fire. As we landed, we both placed our hands on the machine and everything fell silent.
"No!" he yelled and fell to the ground as the gold poured out of the windows. A window appeared infront of us and we pushed accept. The gold was surrounded by blue light and disappeared into our inventories. The machine reset behind us.
Everything was silent as we walked back to Sinon. "What kind of reflexes do you have?" Sinon asked us. "At the end, in front of it, you dodged lasers fewer than two meters away. There's hardly anytime between prediction lines and actual shots!" Everyone around us started and we both blushed and put our hands on our necks. "Well...Isn't this game's point to predict the prediction lines?" We asked in union. There was a moment of silence. Kirito looked over at me nervously. "Predict the prediction lines?!"
------------------------------------------
"This assault rifle has a smaller caliber than a submachine gun, so why is it bigger?" Kirito questioned. "You don't even know that, but you have those ridiculous dodging skills?" Sinon responded. "You said that was a converted account, right? What did you play before?" We looked at each other and laughed nervously. "Just a plain old fantasy game..." I told her. It was obvious she wanted to know more but she crossed her arms and said, "Oh. Well, that's fine. If you're entering the BoB qualifiers, I'll have a chance to see you to in action. So anyways, to answer your question-" Sinon began. She went on explaining how the design of the American M16 revolved around a small caliber, high-speed round, with high accuracy and penetrative power. "But that doesn't really matter does it?" she smiled.
We walked down the hall of weapons again and Sinon told us how the weapon you choose is based off of what you like and want to focus on. I looked over at the wall beside me and smiled. 'Finally, I found it~!' I thought as I grabbed Kirito's hand and pointed to it. "Oh, that's an energy sword." Sinon explained. "The official name is 'Photon Sword', but everyone calls them laser blades or beam sabers." "There's swords in this world, too?" Kirito asked excitedly. "Yeah, but no one uses them." She said. "Why?" I questioned. "Well, because you can only strike at point-blank range and by the time you get that close, you've already been blown apart." Sinon explained. "In other words, you just have to get close, right?" We grinned as we both bought a sword. Kirito chose black, of course, but I chose (f/c). A small robot came by and gave us both of our swords. "Thank you for purchasing from us!" It said as it sped away. "Well, everyone has their own combat style." Sinon sighed. "If they're selling it, you should be able to use it." Kirito told her and I nodded beside him, her? You know what, he's a he. We pressed a button on the hilt of the sword and a long laser appeared as the blade. "Whoaaa~" we cooed as we waved them around. I nodded at Kirito and we went over to an open space and got in our battle positions. We cut through the air together, leaping upwards. There was a flash and a burst of air as we landed. Sinon smiled and clapped at us. "A skill from that fantasy world?" She asked us. "It could actually work." "No, it's nothing special." I told her. "This thing is so light, though." Kirito muttered while waving it around some more. He waved the sword in front of him and placed it behind his back. I bumped his shoulder, smiling, and he chuckeled nervously as he deactivated the blade. "Even if you go with that as your main weapon, I think you'll do better with a submachine gun or handgun in your inventory. You'll need to distract them while you get close." She told us. She thought for a minute and said, "With 150,000...You'll also need ammo and armor, so you'll want a handgun. In that price range..." We lifted our hands up and Kirito said, "We'll leave that to you."
"If you're entering BoB, you'll want a physical gun. And if the goal is to distract them, you'll need accuracy over power." Sinon explained as we looked at the 'Great Wall of Hand Guns'. "It'll take almost everything you have, but I'd recommend this." she said as she pointed to one on the wall. "A FN Five Seven." "Five Seven?" Kirito asked. "The caliber." I told him and Sinon nodded. "It uses 5.7mm bullets." She explained. "Then I guess we'll take that one." Kirito said. "Okay. Have you ever shot a gun before?" She asked us. When we shook our heads, she grinned at us. "Want to go try it?"
That's how we ended up with loud bangs surrounding us. "Do you know how to fire it?" Sinon asked us. "I think so." Kirito said as he pulled out his gun. He aimed the gun but faltered for a second. "You should see a circle display. The reason it keeps getting bigger and smaller is because of the offensive assist system, the bullet circle. Bullets hit randomly somewhere in that circle." she explained. "If your pulse increases, the circle expands. So try to stay calm." Kirito positioned his feet and started at the target, focused. After a while, he shot the gun and stepped back. Sinon smiled as she brought the target closer. "It didn't hit..." He muttered. "It isn't that easy to hit." she giggled. Then after sending it back, she gestured for me to give it a try. I held the gun and focused as the cirle grew and shrunk. When it was the smallest, I fired the bullet, but I still took a step back... When we lokked at it closer, we noticed a small hole in the bottom ring. "I hit it!!" I exclaimed and stuck my tongue out playfully at Kirito as I grinned. He smirked at me and Sinon gave me high-five.
------------------------------------
As we exited the market, we thanked Sinon for helping us out. "There aren't many female players." she told us, smiling. I tried so hard not to laugh as Kirito smiled nervously. "We should go enter for BoB before..." she started as she looked up at a clock. "We only have ten minutes!" She told us with a worried expression. "Let's hurry." She said as she turned and started to run. We followed after her. "It's three kilometers away..." she said and pointed to a tall building. "Please...Please get there!" she muttered. I nudged his shoulder and pointed over to a motorcycle-type vehicle. "There." I said. We ran over to the bike and Kirito paid for it as we sat in the back. We raced towards the building. "How? These are really hard to drive, almost no one can handle them!" Sinon said. "W-Well...I used to play racing games." Kirito told her which made me start to laugh. "He's pretty good at them too!" I giggled. Sinon laughed and sat back in the seat. "Wow! This feels great!" she exclaimed. We laughed more and smiled as Kirito went faster towards the building. Time was running out.
