By Your Side (Kirito x Reader 'Virtually With Him' Sequel)

Happy Turkey Day!

~A Few Days Before You and Kirito Entered GGO~

Your POV~

      We were on Thanksgiving break when Kirito decided to come over when I was in my room. "HAPPY TURKEY DAY~!!" he shouted as he entered my room. I was on my bed, drawing at the time. "WHAT THE-" I yelled and fell off the bed. Kirito laughed as he caught my sketch book and looked through it. "Happy Turkey Day~..." I mumbled as I rubbed my head. I kicked him out and got changed.

       I changed into a red and white striped shirt and some skinny jeans. "I found Waldo!" Kirito chuckled as I exited my room. I laughed and lightly punched him in the shoulder. "Congratulations~!" I giggled and patted him on the head. We then made our way downstairs and I made him sit down on the couch as I made breakfast. "What're you making~?" Kirito asked as he started to peek around the corner. I pushed his head away ans continued mixing the batter as I smirked. "You'll see~!"

        After I was done, Kirito instantly sat down at the table and waited for his food, grinning. I covered his eyes and filled his plate. "TA-DA~!!" I said as he opened his eyes. He started to laugh and then kissed me on the cheek. "Thank you (y/n)~!" he chuckled as he stared don at the pancakes I made. I had shaped them into a turkey, sword, and a heart. 'Not really a good combination now that I think about it...But Kirito enjoys it~!' I thought as he poured syrup on them and dug in.

~Later that Day, Thanksgiving Meal~

       Kirito had come over to my house to eat dinner with my family. It was a bit awkward at first but we laughed at talked soon after. Kirito's practically part of the family! I was surprised that they had accepted him already but hey, who couldn't like Kirito? "Hey (y/n), have you been drawing since you exited that game?" My mom asked. "Yeah, you should see them! They're amazing!!" Kirito excitedly told them. I glared at the wide grin on his face. He smirked at me and chuckled. "Really? You haven't shown me!" she told me. "Yeah, I know." I mumbled. "I'll go get it!" Kirito said and started getting up from the table. "KIRITO NO!!" I said as I ran after him up the stairs. I grabbed my sketch book and was about to go hide it when Kirito blocked the door. "Do you really want my mom to see you with a nose bleed or you walking in on me with a towel?!" I whisper-shouted at him, holding the book close to my chest. There was a short moment of silence. "You're right." Kirito said and we hid the book under my pillow.

       As we were going into the kitchen, Kirito looked over at me and said, "You're short." I stopped exactly where I was. I turned and glared as I looked him straight in his handsome, sparkling, black eyes. "Short?! You're only a few inches taller than me! I'm the tallest person in my family!!" I told him and gestured towards the table. Kirito started laughing and patted my head. "Shorty~!" I crossed my arms and glared at him. "You're so cute when you're mad~!!" he cooed, bending down ever so slightly to be eye-level with me. I got up on my toes and grinned down at him. "Who's the shorty now?!" I laughed as he smirked at me. "Fine~! Let's eat!!" He said as he took my hand and we ent back to the table. "So, where's the drawings?" My family asked. Kirito and I looked at each other.

         Kirito and I were watching a movie, cuddled under a blanket together. I felt my eye lids slowy close but kept trying to stay awake. But with Kirito wrapped around me, being filled with his body warmth, I couldn't stay awake and finally my (e/c) eyes closed and I fell asleep, my body resting on Kirito's.

Kirito's POV~

         After (y/n) had fallen asleep, I kissed her forehead. She faintly smiled and I smiled back at her sleeping face. I didn't mean to, but I soon fell asleep too.

         'Awww~! They're so cute together...' I heard (y/n)'s family faintly say as they fixed the blanket comfortably around us and pushed us closer together. 'Happy Turkey Day (y/n)...' I thought in my last bit of awareness and wrapped my arms around her as she slept in my arms.
