Loki ~ War

"And... post!" You laughed as Loki's smug grin was no longer seen

"Be careful Loki. I'm just getting started" you said, as he left you to figure out how to get out of your room.

The next few days went by with numerous pranks.

You did the classic sugar and salt switch with his coffee

He put snakes in your shoes (they were completely harmless, but he knows how much you hate snakes)

You put all the things in his room upside down

He put clear wrap at your door so you would run into it

you switched his chair at dinner with a fake one that breaks when he sat on it

He filled your shower head with red kool aid

You switched his hair gel with glue (which he was not at all happy about)

He put hot sauce in your pancakes

Prank after prank, the two of you were just more determined to beat the other, and with only 2 more days before Loki left, you had to come up with the perfect prank to beat him.

"It has to be perfect" you said, trying to come up with something while Nat helped. Well, she was trying to help

"Maybe hide all of his underwear?" She suggested, but you shook your head

"Nah, he'd see that coming"

"Well, you better think of something soon because you only have 2 days left" She said, and it made your heart ache for some reason. you ignored it

but then and idea came to you, and your lips curled into a huge grin. It was perfect, and kind of genius.

"oh no. I know that face" Natasha said, but you were already looking for the water balloons

"You really think he's gonna fall for it?" Nat asked, helping you carry the bucket of water balloons "and don't you think it's a little... harsh?"

"you know what he did to me," you said, not showing any hint of emotion.

Way back when, you and Loki used to date. You were young, naive and stupid. One night you found him making out with some other girl and it broke your heart to pieces. you eventually got over it and the both of you resented each other, but put up with it for the sake of the team, and neither of you brought it up again. But it still hurt to think about

"Yeah, but that was years ago. I thought you were over it," Nat said, setting down the bucket of water balloons behind a bush outside the training rooms.

"I will be over it," you said, grabbing a couple balloons as Nat left you to your mishaps.

Just in time, Loki walked out of the training room all sweaty and tired. A perfect target. So you jumped out and threw the balloons at him, soaking him completely. You laughed and grabbed some more, ready to strike again.

Loki was shocked, looking for where they'd come from when he saw you running at him with more balloons. He turned and ran the other way, and then spotted the bucket of water balloons

"Leaving your amo unguarded? Rookie mistake (y/n)" he said, grabbing some balloons for himself and throwing them at you. Soon it was a full blown water balloon fight, both of you soaked and laughing. It was... fun. You hadn't seen Loki smile this much in a while. And you let yourself enjoy it. Enjoy how his green eyes lit up as he laughed. It was nice.

You realized Loki had been scanning your face too, and you both seem to catch yourselves at the same time. Your brushed it off as nothing and plopped down on the wet floor.

"Water balloons? Really?" Loki said, sitting down next to you, "you can't aim at all"

"At least i hit you a few times" you said, pushing him jokingly. It was time to start phase one of your plan. You took off your soaked t shirt to reveal a bikini top you had put on. From the corner of your eye you can see Loki's eyes widen, then close in on your chest. His cheeks go red, and after a few seconds he forces himself to look away. You smile to yourself. Phase one was a success. You had gotten his attention, and now on to phase two.

also sorry I know I haven't posted a story in a while and I promise as soon as this is up I'm starting to work on part 2 so pls don't hate me. I have a lot of time to work bc of the whole corona virus, and please stay safe and wash your hands. I don't want y'all getting sick
