Steve ~ Dog

The cold morning breeze made you wrap your blanket tighter around you as you watched the beautiful sunrise. You weren't usually a morning person, but your dog, (d/n), had woken you up so he could do his business.

It was a very lovely morning, the birds chirping beautiful songs as they jumped from tree to tree, the early morning joggers waved as they ran by, you waving back. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, enjoying the wonderful moment

Right when (d/n) saw a squirrel. He barked, making you snap back from your moment. He started pulling on his leash, a little too strong.

"(D/n) calm down!" You tried to get him to be quiet, hoping the neighbors wouldn't get mad. But you accidentally let go of his leash and he ran away down the street chasing the squirrel.

You dropped your blanket, left in only shorts and a tank top, and ran after him, calling his name and trying to get him to stop

"(d/n)! (d/n)!!"

He didn't stop. Not until he heard a sharp whistle, then changing his direction and running towards a man instead. Oh thank god. You were out of breath and slowed your pace to a walk as you made you way to him, not noticing who he was until you were right next to him

None other than Captain America, in only his sweats and jogging shoes, had been the one to stop your dog

"C-Captain America" You stuttered out, and he smiled. You tried to look at his face and not look down at his muscular figure

"Yes that's me, and I believe this is your dog?" He asked, and you nodded gladly taking the leash back

"Oh Thank you so much" you thanked him, then turning over to (d/n), "and you don't go running off like that again, understood mister/miss?"

Steve chuckled a little and you felt your cheeks blush.

"He/She seems to like you" you said, noticing how (d/n) was lightly pawing at Steve's shoes. he chuckled and stroked (d/n) head.

Steve smiled, "I guess dogs have a thing for me" you laughed, and he joined you

"Well, it was nice meeting you.." He said, expecting you to finish the sentence

"(Y/n)" you finished for him with a warm smile

"(Y/n)" he repeated, and took out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to you. His phone number was on it, and you smiled
Oh my god Captain America just gave you his phone number!

"Do you just carry those around wherever you go?" You asked, and he looked down smiling with a slight blush. You just made Captain America blush.

"I'll see you around Captain" you said,

"Please, call me Steve. And also, call me" he gave you a small wink and continued jogging down the street, and you went the opposite way back to your house with (d/n).

Before turning the corner Steve turned around, seeing you playing with your dog and laughing to himself before continuing his jog.
