(6) Everything I Hate

-two weeks later-

It was a Saturday afternoon Alexis had spent the day at the hair salon. James and Winnie were hosting a ball for all members of the high society. Basically it was for everyone that lived in their neighborhood.

And of course Hudson was invited since he was the District Attorney. Alexis had put on her blue sapphire jewelry that use to be her mother's.

"Lex baby come on." Hudson yelled up the stairs.

Alexis came to the top of the stairs. "I was putting my jewelry on." She said as she came down the stairs.

It had been two weeks since Bucky's bad week. He had been avoiding everyone he even quit football. Bucky and his family was already at the ball room. He was sitting at a table sulking.

Weston came over to him and slipped him a xanax. "Thanks man." He whispered

Easton joined the twosome. "Dude..wait till you see who just came in." He said

"Who?" Bucky said

Just then the Hartley's came into view. "Check out those boobs on nerdy Lexie." Weston said

"Dude.." Bucky whispered

"What? She has huge tits. And she hides them at school." Weston said

Bucky looked her up and down. He shook his head she dressed the part. Down to the sparkly jewels and clutch. He saw his grandmother's face light up when Alexis approached her.

He shook his head. "I need air.." he said and snuck out the back.

As the night progress and the more he watched her. The more his grandmother would urge him to dance with her. Finally Alexis came over to him she wanted to know what he meant by his letter.

"James.." she whispered

He looked up at here. "What?" He said

"Dance with me?" She said

"No..I dont want to dance. Im really not in the best mood Alexis." He said

"Oh..okay then. I just um I wanted to talk to you but its fine." She said with a lump in her throat.

She walked away and grabbed her clutch off her table. Vivian saw her leaving upset.

"What did you do James?" Vivian said

"I said no to dancing." He said

Vivian shook her head at her grandson. "One day you are going to regret breaking her heart." Vivian said and walked off.

On Monday morning Bucky came into school. He seen her at her locker he went to walk over to her. But Alexis just walked off ignoring him.

He rolled his eyes and followed her. She went into the theatre hall.

"Alexis..slow down. I want to talk now.." he said

She stopped and looked down. "Alexis I am sorry for being so rude the other night." He said

She turned around. "All I wanted to know was why did you say that it isnt you that is suppose to love me?" She said

"Because..my grandmother has been pushing me to date you exclusively. But I..you are everything she wants me to be with. Saturday night was proof..and its everything I hate. I hate this life and right now Im being forced to do something I dont want to do." He said

"Oh...um I wasn't aware of her doing that. But thanks for letting me know that you could never love me." She said as she went to turn back around.

He stopped her. "Alexis..in the time that I spent with you. Any guy.." he said but she cut him off.

"Don't..no guy gives me the time of day. Its always you are so beautiful but I want sex.." she said

He looked down. "Alexis Im sorry I just can't..I dont want this life of politics or a stuffy court room or hospital." He said

She swallowed back her tears. "Then have a nice life Bucky.." she said then walked away to leave to the theatre.

"Alexis..Im sorry." He said but she just kept on walking.
