He takes a bow, then continues talking, finally getting to the point.
Port: The moral of the story? A true huntsman must be honorable. A true huntsman must be dependable. A true huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise! So, who amongst you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?
Weiss and Alex both raise their hands.
Weiss: I do, sir!
She sounds mad.
Port: Well, then, let's found out. Step forward, and face your opponents.
They both change into their combat gear. Alex stands by as Weiss readies herself. Her team cheers her on.
Yang: Go Weiss!
Blake: Fight well!
Where did she get a pendant?!
Ruby: Yeah, represent team RWBY!!!
Weiss: Ruby! I'm trying to focus!
Why is she so sour about her team encouraging her?
Ruby: o-oh. Sorry.
Port: Alright! Let the match...
He swings his axe down on the lock, which he had to have a key for, and breaks it, causing the cage door to swing open.
Port: Begin!
The moment the door opens, a pig Grimm charges at Weiss. She dodges the charge and slashes at the pig.
Port: Haha! Wasn't expecting that, we're you?
Ruby: Hang in there, Weiss!
She dashes toward the pig, but it catches her sword. She fights to keep it in her grasp.
Port: Hold your approach... I like it!
Ruby: Come on, Weiss, show it whose boss!
In the end, though, she wasn't strong enough, and the pig disarms her, then knocks her a few feet away from it.
Port: Hoho! Now what will you do without your weapon?
The pig charges at her again, but she dodges again and sprints for her sword. I notice that it has the bone-like plating on its back, yet its underbelly is completely exposed. Ruby also takes note of this.
Ruby: Weiss, go for its belly! There's no armor underneath!
Weiss: STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!!!
Why is she so mean? Ruby's only trying to help her. Nevertheless, the pig starts spinning toward her, but she manages to strike at just the right moment, catching its belly and effectively killing it.
Port: Bravo, bravo! It seems we are in the presence of a true huntress! Now, let's see how your fellow classmate fares.
Weiss stands to the side as Alex walks to the middle of the room. He readies his rifle, aiming down the sights. Professor Port swings his axe down on the second cage. This time, however, the moment the door opens, he immediately fires a single shot into the cage. 3 seconds of silence. Then a Beowulf falls to the ground dead.
Port: Uh... well, as anti-climactic as that was, you triumph. I'm afraid that's all the time we have left for today. Class dismissed.
Time skip
I walk down the hallway to reach my dormitory room. My team is already there, I just had to make a quick errand to the lunch room for Richard. On my way back, I overhear Weiss and Ruby arguing.
Ruby: What's wrong with you?! Why are you being-
Weiss: What's wrong with me?! What's wrong with you?! You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!
Ruby: What did I do?!
Weiss: that's just it! You've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!
Ruby: Weiss, where is this coming from?
