"HE DID WHAT?!" I yelled, slamming my fists into the lockers.

My friends surrounded me.

Jordan said he was about to go into homeroom but he when he looked through the door's window, he said he saw Arthur Peri having quality time with Jasmine May. Jasmine May is MY girlfriend, I thought angrily.

"Doesn't that son of a bi-" I began.

"Language, Mr. Winters." A teacher said, passing by.

"Yes, I am speaking a language." I mumble before turning to my friends. "He does realize who she actually IS, right? My girlfriend." I am beyond pissed off.

"Peri is dating Jennings, Maya Jennings." Jordan hesitantly says.

"Oh so they were both messing with someone who is taken?!" I kicked the lockers angrily after everyone left the halls.

My friends were silent for a good thirty seconds before Carter spoke up. "Dan, maybe revenge.. We could get revenge on Peri..."

"NO!" I shouted, my ears buzzing. "I want revenge. Yeah, I want revenge. But they both deserve it. They need to pay."

My friends nodded in agreement. "Jacob, Carter, I need you two to help. Jordan tell me EXACTLY what happened. We'll fill the other two in later."

€: Maya's POV €:
October 20th. Still
11:30 am.

"Guys! Stop freaking out! You're the ones annoying me now," I said. My friends were stressing me out. It was almost lunch time. The day had been going by very slowly and after lunch, I had a class with Arthur.

"Alright alright." They mutter.

"What should I do?" I look up at them.

"Act like you saw nothing. No one knows. I'll do something to fix this." Rachel says.

"I don't want you to do anything."

The bell rings and I walk out with her friends only to see Arthur, walking with two juniors. Two GIRL freshmen. Grr.

With my blood boiling, I turned back to Rachel. "You will get hurt if you do not fix this." I said quietly.

She knows I'll hold that to her.

"Promise." Rachel replied with an evil glint in her eyes.

"I'm going to lunch. Arthur always sits with me. I'll talk to him. I just won't give anything up." I say, trying to convince myself.

"You can punch him." Carmen suggests.

"I'll help," Ally adds.

I manage a smile for the sake of my friends as I walk to the cafeteria. I find the small table with three seats. I pulled out my lunchbox and started to eat my sandwich when someone sat across from me. I smiled weakly. "Hey Artie."

"Hi baby." He said in return, his beautiful blue eyes staring into my dull green ones. "I can't wait for our date tomorrow," Arthur began.

Shit! I forgot. I'm a crappy girlfriend, aren't I?

"So I was thinking maybe I could come by tonight." He finished.

"I don't think I have anything planned tonight." I said, not fully comprehending what he meant.

Later I would regret every moment of the false innocent that laid in between us right then.

"Great." Artie smiled.

I was starting to put my lunch box away when my Artie reached across and took my hand. "Hey, you alright?"

The connection between us caught me off guard. I looked up at Arthur. His beautiful blonde hair swept across his forehead, his blazing blue eyes staring intently at me, filled with love.. Wait, I told myself. He cheated on me; he doesn't love me. He can't, someone can't be that cruel.

"I'm fine. Why?" I smiled at him, my heart beating extremely loud.

"You seem different this afternoon." He looked at me curiously before getting up and sitting next to me, making my heart skip a beat.

"I do?" I thought my 'cover' was blown.

When Arthur wrapped his arm around me, I forgot what my 'cover' was.

"I don't know. We good?"

"We're great."

"Great." He smiled genuinely. "I love you," Arthur said.

"I love you too," I replied. Like one of those stupid cliche movies, you'd expect I felt lost in his eyes until we kissed. Is this the Notebook? I don't think so.

I did let him kiss me though. "You could break my heart into tiny little pieces and I'd still pick them up and put them back in your hands," I say to him.

We looked at each other, tiny smiles on our faces, full of trust and slight embarrassment. "Let's get to our class," Arthur says distractedly.

"Thanks." I answer, picking up my backpack after stuffing my practically untouched lunch in it.

We walked into the halls, holding hands, until we reached Mr. Mooney's science class.

I trust my heart. I believe it won't get broken again. He only did that once and anyways, he couldn't have fully done that in a classroom and for only like two minutes, I thought. But what if my heart is wrong?, a part of my brain asked.

"Okay, class. I am your sub, Mrs. Mark. I will be filling in for Mr. Mooney while he is sick. So you may talk amongst yourselves."
