Chapter No 31

The function was held open air in the beautiful lawn of a renowned club. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Saiqa was feeling content that she would be free from her responsibility, after getting Manal married she is planning to perform Hajj. Taimoor Ali and Zafar were gossiping like old chaps

She was talking to Arsam but her eyes were on Maier who was busy talking to some of his associates and Arsam noticed it

"Anabia if you're done admiring your husband can we proceed for dinner?" Arsam said teasingly and she averted her gaze nervously but what caught her attention was the gun pointed at Maier. Her face turned pale

"Anabia ..?" Arsam asked concerned but she was not attentive to him

"MAIER" She ran to him as the man pulled the trigger. Before the bullet could hit him she pushed Maier away but in doing so it passed crossing her right arm and hitting the vase shattering it

"ANABIA" losing balance she fell on the ground as Maier rushed to her

"BIA"

"Bhabhi" all gathered around her

"Anabia" Maier held her and patted her cheek to keep her eyes open as they were drooping

Her hand caressed his cheek as she winced at the sheer pain at her arm, "M-Maier y-you …"

"Sshh Sshh I am fine" Tears streamed down his face and he turned to Salaar almost yelling, "SALAAR DO SOMETHING" Salaar too came out of the shock

"Ayesha, Sadia, Raza please help me" Salaar called his friends who are here to attend his nikah and with the help of them he took Anabia to the bridal room

The bullet crossed at her upper arm but she was not letting anyone pull down her sleeves which was now soaked in her blood

"Bhabhi please let me do it or I have to do anesthesia" there was just Salaar and his class fellows in the room. Salaar asked Maier to be outside because his condition was a lot worse than Anabia. He never saw his brother cry for anyone

"W-Where is Maier an-and S-Sabeen?" She was breathing heavily. Salaar motioned Ayesha to inject her 

"They are just outside with others" Sadia dabbed the wet cotton at her arm

"I wan-t t-to s-see hi …" her eyes went close as Ayesha slowly injected

Hurriedly, with the help of her friends he was being able to do the dressing at her arm

Saiqa and Manal were sitting quiet just like Maier and Sabeen, the only difference was that both of theirs mind filled with so many thoughts

Sabeen blaming herself for the incident

"Why is Salaar taking so long?" Maier panicked. Only then Salaar opened the door

Every head turned in his direction and he literally felt like he just came out of the operation theatre and now has to attend the patient's family. Feeling foolish at his thoughts he smiled

"What's funny? How is Anabia now? Why didn't she come with you?" Maier just barged him with questions and he chuckled lightly

"Relax everyone. Bhabhi is perfectly fine. She is just under the effect of anesthesia"
