A rather long update

Chapter 4

"Anabia Taimoor, daughter of Taimoor Ali, do you accept Maier Affandi as your husband against 10,000 as your haq mehar (dower)?" the Qazi inquired to take her consent but she was numb to answer

Her Abi's face came in front of her eyes, how is she going to face her father aftet this? How her father will handle her abscence? What reason he would give to the world that why his daughter's wedding being cancelled?

She has no answers to all these questions. She came back to the present feeling slight pressure on her head

"Anabia answer" this was Arsam, she remembered how few minutes ago he declared her as his sister

"I'll be a witness from Anabia's side as her brother, as her guardian"

Honestly speaking she doesn't need anyone now, when she is going to lose her most precious relations then nothing in this world matters to her anymore

"Anabia"

"Huh"

Maier was observing her changing expressions every moment as her thoughts proceeding. The worry, fear,anxiety everything could be clearly read on her face and he has to break her thought process

"Ms Anabia please answer" he gritted

"I do" words slipped at their own accord

Qazi repeated two more times to take her consent

"I do, I do"

Then signing of papers, his consent everything happens in a trance

In half an hour her identity changed. She now belongs to Maier Affandi and she is hating it

Qazi and other witnesses left leaving the trio behind. She felt grip on her wrist, she looked up with teary eyes

"So Mrs Maier Affandi how are you feeling? Do you still mind me touching you?" making her stand in front of him , he roughly rubbed her right cheek

"If you don't mind Maier can I have few words with Anabia?" Arsam said as though understanding her condition

"Of course why not but first she has to call her father and ask him to cancel the wedding" it was like someone exploded bomb near her

"P-Please have some mercy on me, I can't do this please let me go" she pleaded in sobs

"Then I've to break this news to your father" taking her phone from Arsam he dialled her Abi's number

"N..no pl..plea ....."

"Sshh"He hushed her harshly covering her mouth with his left palm as his right hand snaked around her waist pulling her closer, tucking phone between his right ear and shoulder
