"Wow.... No one told me you were coming"

"We wanted to surprise you honey but unfortunately we didn't catch you at home"

We rounded up at the table

"When did you get here?"

"Around 9pm thereabout, we had to make a quick stop at Miami because your sister needed to do some shopping as usual"

"Mom... You did some shopping too, don't blame it all on me"

"Don't mind her, was I supposed to stand and watch while you shopped your time away "

"Well every now and then you should seize the moment... You never know when next you will have the jet to yourself.... Right Felix"

"Right...... "

"That's reminds me, where were you last night sweetie.... Jessica didn't know where you were"

Jessica made that innocent look of hers and raised her shoulders

"I.... Uhmm. I had a late business meeting, so I spent the night at the hotel"

"And you didn't bother to tell your wife about it.... That's very unfair"

"Actually mom... I thought she was aware of it"

"Me..... I don't exactly keep tabs on you babe... I only know what you tell me and lately you don't tell me a lot"

Rosita came in with the last piece for breakfast and I immediately switch the topic

"Tada.... Breakfast is served"

They all took their seats at the table while I stood back getting ready to flee

"Well aren't you going to join us honey "

"Ahhh nah,mom am good... I had an early breakfast at work"

"Really.... "

"I can't remember the last time we had dinner together as a family"

Jessica slipped in again
and i swear she's really getting under my skin

"And whose fault is that"

"Well am not the one, who has late business meetings and rushing to work early the next morning"

"You know what honey.. Why don't you just join us.. Have a slice or two"

"No mom... Am good, really"

"He's good Lilah, let him rest"

Good of you to intervene after stirring up the fire

"Yunno I really like the idea of you two going on a vacation Jessie.. You really need it to ease the tension"

Audrey says between her chews

"I know right.... But sadly Felix has been really busy.. He hasn't been able to make time"

"Ohhh hell no.... If your wife says vacation Felix, then vacation it is... You work too hard and spend less time together as a couple.. You need a break and you need it now"

"Look... Ma, am not the one with the problem here, ask the spokeswoman she is always unavailable "

"Well am not unavailable now... You just say jump and I'll say how high. Am ready when you are ready honey "

She's pushing it
and it driving me nuts

"OK... That's fine, we'll go soon"

"You said so last week"

"I have to clear my desk.. I need time"

My voice was getting louder

"Gimme a date.... "

"Aiit.. Three days"

"Audrey, Lilah would you like to come with us"

Fantastic... I thought this was supposed to be a couple vacation
I know they are my family but trust me they are 100% Jessica's team

"Great... Can't wait "
Audrey chipped in

"Fine.. But if we are going to go. It has to be tomorrow, I have an appointment with my doctor in five days.... And it in Germany "

"Am fine with whatever you decide Lilah, besides it weekend already"

She smiled broadly

"Felix"

I tightened my fist

"Sure mom... Tomorow it is"

"Great.. Then we'll leave first thing tomorrow morning"

"Wonderful... I'll go make arrangements"

"I need to call my boyfriend too"
Audrey jumped up

I rolled my eyes and walked out of their midst

The next morning, we had bags rolling in. You'd be surprise how many bags the ladies packed and we were finally ready to go
Using the family's private jet we arrived at the resort in two hours

Audrey's boyfriend joined us there and we settled into rooms
The place looked nice and our tour guide was Spanish woman who never stops talking

While we were in our room, and Jessica went to shower
I try to make sense of the situation , I have ignored all Matilda calls so far, I know I have tried to push this aside since the night I reconciled with Matilda but looking at me right now I know this is the last place I want to be

Jessica changed into her swimsuit and I just worn my colorful short and white shirt leaving it unbutton

"Honey... Don't forget Our matching hats"

I stare at the ridiculous hat and gave a scornful look
We haven't said much to each other since yesterday..
She was too busy plotting against me with my mother and sister

"Am not wearing that"

"But honey.... "

"Hushhh... You heard me, and I hope you get what you want from all of this...It would be a complete waste of time if you don't "

We stepped out of our cabin and we were immediately covered with her fans.. Ogling around her begging her to sign an autograph or take a picture

I slipped away and strolled along the beach.. Then my eyes caught a beautiful woman in red bikini, just playing in the water
From a distance she reminded me of Matilda
Damn... I just wonder what Matilda would look like in a bikini
This is going to be a really long weekend.
