He'd gone back downstairs, waved goodbye to Patton and walked off to his car.
————————————————
He waited patiently at the Café and got antsy so he just took out his phone and checked that same post again, now it had 55 but the other one was still ahead with 90 now. After a few minutes: Thomas came running in; apologized for being late and sat down.
"Sorry, Cynthia got suspicious of where I was going and was trying to get me to get shopping with her, she can be quite the drama queen sometimes!" He smiled sheepishly and Roman never was mad or had any infinitesimal amount of loathing towards him whatsoever, if he had; Thomas would have been forgiven the second he got to the table.
"Oh it's completely alright Thomathy," He smirked as he knew Thomas disliked that nickname. "I don't mind, you were fashionably late anyways!" He somewhat faked a smile and was hoping Thomas wouldn't bring the moving in conversation into the mix.
Thomas lightly blushed and looked away embarrassed. "I told you not to call me that Ro, I sure hope I was! I hate being late for anything, and I'm late for everything so yay. It just seems like lateness follows me around everywhere I go!" He was still smiled though embarrassed and Roman recognized that being late was the power of the gays but Thomas was straight as a board, Roman ruled out the gay possibility a long time ago since Thomas has been through multiple girlfriends and was very devoted and loving to them, usually they're the ones that break up with him. "So about the moving thing.." Well fuck, he's jinxed it, great thanks universe.
"Oh that....I just I don't think Cynthia would like me living with you, sure the rent on my apartment is a bit more then I can afford right now since the musical is still in the works and still isn't even close to casting yet but I assure you I'll be able to pay for it soon! I appreciate the kind offer Thomas, I really do but I've found a liking to my roommates. Except the nerd, he's a stuck up smart ass." He added Logan to his mental list of people he wanted to punch from the first day he'd met him, something about Logan's vibe just got to him.
"I mean she definitely wouldn't be the biggest fan but it could work, just remember the option is always there! I bet you're going to get the lead role again Roman, you're practically a celebrity at the theatre! I can just imagine a Broadway musical sign featuring your name and face in Times Square, I'd go see every show of that!" He smiled and a waitress came up to them. "Oh I'll have a lemonade, how about you Ro?"
Water technically didn't have any calories but it did add water weight, Roman decided the risk wasn't worth it and decided on nothing even though his insides was screaming at him still from hardly digesting his breakfast then puking it back up.
"Oh I'm good, I don't need anything." He smiled a small smile again and played off his empty feelings, maybe his dosage wasn't right again? Those things are supposed to stop all of those icky self-deprecating thoughts right? He'd been negligent of his medication, he hadn't taken it for a few weeks because he convinced himself he was ok, he wasn't obviously. It's obvious because you hear his thoughts but to everybody and I mean EVERYBODY Roman is completely fine and confident in himself.
"Nothing not even water?" Roman shook his head. "Hm you're weird sometimes!" He poked Roman on the side jokingly. "Wow you're so skinny Roman, I truly need your dieting tips! Cynthia is making me do this Atkins diet with her and that's why I'm ordering lemonade, I really wanted some hot chocolate though, it's extremely tempting!" He got up to Roman's ear and whispered. "I'm not even convinced the Atkins thing even works, it's like a bunch of no added sugar things and fruit juices for some reason." Roman actually tried doing it once, it was torture though.
"Well why are you staying on it if you hate it?! Like I tried it, it SUCKED! You can't have anything! Order hot chocolate, you deserve it!" Roman was slightly moving from supportive friend to supportive boyfriend and was trying to restrain himself but he couldn't help but flirt even if his flirting attempts weren't remotely good nor successful. He knew that Thomas complimenting him on being skinny was just out of pity and he was just being nice as he always was.
"Well I suppose one hot chocolate with whip cream and rainbow marshmallows and sprinkles- yup I'm going crazy, I refuse to ask the waitress if any of the food here has no sugar added, TAKE THAT ATKINS!" He stood up and yelled, Roman laughed and gently pulled Thomas back to sitting down.
Roman had to admit the description of that hot chocolate was enough to make him drool but sadly he couldn't have it if he wanted to acceptably present himself to people without them thinking he was a pig.
"Wow I think I'm rubbing off on you, finally you've learnt your lesson. I shall now knight thee Thomas Sanders a true prince, do a bow for the cafe brave hero!" He was snickering as he said it and Thomas actually stood up and bowed which made him break out in laughter. Thomas sat back down again also laughing.
"What would I be the knight of? Cartoons, YouTube?!" This was a very deep and thought provoking question.
"I say happiness, your existence makes people happy!" He mumbled. "And mine.." Thomas luckily didn't catch that last part.
"I guess I am a true ray of sunshine, my mom was right!" He was smiling brightly still and laughing, the waitress came back with his lemonade and he got brave. "Actually, May I have a hot chocolate with rainbow marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles and whipped cream? Also a chocolate cheesecake please!" When she walked away, he slammed his head on the table and muttered. "She is literally going to kill me, I've given in to the dark side of chocolate and rainbow things!"
"I don't eat rainbow things because I'm full rainbow all of the time, there's only so much rainbow one can handle!" Roman winked and and Thomas didn't see because his head was flat on the table.
"Heh, you are a bi mess! But seriously don't tell Cynthia I ate any of this, just pretend I had only the lemonade and a no added sugar salad! Wait, does salad even have added sugar?-"
"I don't deny it, I embrace the rainbow! Well why would I talk to that bitc- girl, she thinks everything I say is a lie. Eh she wouldn't believe you; her precious Thomas, would give in to my gay sin of enjoying pleasure food!" He made a cocky pose and put his face down to Thomas's level.
"Oh you embrace it alright, painting your room the colours of the flag was a bold choice! I'm sure she doesn't, Ooh I sense some sass mister!" So yeah, Roman did paint his room the bi flag colours. It was a dare that he went through with and he's grown to love the room, all of his closeted friends except Remy because he was the ultimate confident gay wouldn't dream to do something that bold.
"I love that room thank you very much, and yes Cynthia dishes out sass in her bad cooking and words to me, I'll give it back of course!" The waitress came back with Thomas's heavenly hot chocolate and chocolate cheesecake.
"I'm in heaven, you sure you don't want some?!" He was tempting Roman by waving a spoonful of the cheesecake.
Literally. Physical. And. Mental. Torment.
He was about to reach for the spoon but bit his tongue. "No, I'm good really." He was regretting biting his tongue because he bit it too hard so he felt warm blood in his mouth.
"This is so good, wow." He had already eaten half of it by the time Roman looked back reluctantly at the food, he reached over and grabbed his spoon and took the tiniest bite. It did taste great but he immediately sprung up and went to the bathroom as quick as possible.
——————————————
He closed the door and probably forced more then that little bite of food out of his body, he really wish he'd brought more medication or his special knife. He knew a lunch date would be a bad idea because temptation would get the best of him, he went out of the bathroom and told Thomas he had a family emergency and he had to leave now. Thomas said it was ok and Roman ran out as fast as he could, he got in his care and drove to the nearest pharmacy and bought a bunch of different types of laxatives.
He drove home finally 'satisfied' with himself, he like his new diet of purging and throwing it up, or otherwise know as eating air/nothing.
So I'm I wasn't expecting the chapter to be this long and almost 1 am and I should sleep but y'know creativity comes at the worse times!

FanfictionRoman has (mostly) supportive roommates and gets consistent compliments on how handsome he is, but will they be enough to save his pride and his life? This based on a role play I've done on discord that I am expanding.
