The people I know are very quick to tell me
"Don't you dare apologise to him, you have nothing to apologise for"
Of this I am more than aware of
But still I want to apologise
Because I had promised you a love
That would satisfy
I promised to be the one you could run to for anything
I promised you all of me
I never break a promise
But you took my choice away
Now suddenly my words and actions mean nothing
You broke my promise for me the day you decided it wasn't enough.
For that I am sorry.
