Memories Never Really Fade

I don't know why,
When I saw the purple skies
Blend into the blue morning sky,
I was so happy.
Basking in God's creation.
Being thankful and grateful.
So grateful for being able to live this day.

But one notification.
One notification.
Was enough to break me.
Enough to hurt me.
My heart sank.
I felt so heavy.
I controlled my tears from falling.
My mouth went dry.

"It's gonna take a lot to drag away from you."
It did, it took so much of my energy and strength to drag myself away from you.
Yet now,
I'm back to square one.

Why you ask?
Well, it is because.
I was never good enough for you.
You didn't treat me well nor respect me.
You hurt me and broke me.
That I had to write poems about you.

This will be the last thing I address to you.
Be happy with her.
I only wish you guys the best.
But don't break her.
Like how you broke me.

It hurts.
I don't want any girl to go through that.
Ever.
