Part 10

(Levi POV)

I ran through the torrential rain pulling her by the hand. The wind stung my face as I ran through the cold fog. The grass was stained with a layer of blood. My heart was beating out of my chest as I fled from it. The largest I have ever seen, galloping toward us. It had huge monstrous fangs and a wild, shaggy main. I look back only for a second with anew found terror. A terrible and long forgotten fear of something worse than my death. The ground gives way and we fall into a small gully. I wipe the mud from my face. We are in a ravine of bones, sepulchred hands clawing their way out of the filth. Skulls frozen with unspeakable horror. That beast had caught up. Staring down at us like we were roaches beneath its feat. Basked in the vast shadow, I feel her grip weaken. I look to her face but find it not there. I am clutching her severed and bleeding hand. My eyes grow wide. I go limp and see that in the titan's terrible jaws is her trembling body.

"Hange!"

I am blinded by light. I blink and I am just in bed.

I have let the team down... I used a dream sequence. God have mercy on my soul.
