Maia's POV
I watched as Ross and Grace walked to their seats hand in hand. I knew they had been harmlessly flirting all the time we were filming but I didn't even know what that he liked her, I thought he would've told me. I mean Grace is my friend in all in fact we are really close I just really like Ross but since I knew that wasn't gonna happen she can have him. I didn't get it he was being really nice and awkward. He must really like her, I guess I really wasn't his type. I moved closer and rested my head on Johns shoulder. He smiled and I just sat there and thought, I had 8 hours to get to know john and 8 hours to watch the man of my dreams flirt with one of my best friends. "hey are you ok" john asked
"Yeah I'm fine I just really miss home I won't be back for another year."
"I realized every time something reminded you of Australia you got upset, do you have like a boyfriend or something back there."
"Yeah I'm married."
"Oh"
"I'm just kidding I'm fully single as of last week."
"You guys broke up huh?"
"Yeah he told me that he cheated on me and then explained why and tried to apologize."
"Oh that's horrible I'm so sorry"
"No that's not even the worst part he said that he did it 5 times. So I ended it."
"What!?!how could anyone cheat on you? Your so beautiful and amazing. any guy would be lucky to have you."
"Aww! Thank you so much, you don't know how much that means to me!"
"It's the truth though." I smiled and kissed his cheek. He blushed and sat back in his seat.
Ross' POV
It was time to get off the plane for our layover. We were in NYC on the stop at JFK airport. I walked off with Grace and then apparently everyone knew this was where my layover was going to be. Right outside the gate fans and a few paparazzi were waiting, it wasn't much, but it was enough. I grabbed her hand and we pushed pass them to go to the Chipotle right by the gate. They all followed us. We sat down and the rest of the gang went to get pizza. It was just us. "so is this our first date" I said as I looked at her.
"I guess so, but you never really asked me out."
"Hey wanna go out?"
"Sure" we laughed and ordered a bunch of food and ate because for the next 3 hours all we will get is soda and pretzels. As we walked out of chipotle the 3 photographers who were there to see us came out yelling questions. I turned to Grace. "I know this is fast but the photographers came out here looking for a story probably to pay their rent. I think we should give them one. maybe you could like kiss me or something because they came here even though they could be tracking another star and I really like you so like...." She interrupted me by grabbing me around the neck and started kissing me. I kissed her back and wrapped my arms around her waist. I could feel the sparks flying everywhere. Was she who I belonged with. I pulled out. "Just shut up" she said and then looked back to the plane to see the gang standing there wide eyed jaws dropped.
Maia's POV
I saw it they were standing there making out in front of chipotle while the paparazzi took pictures. None of us were even that famous why were they here. I was so annoyed nod upset I walked over to the bathroom found a stall and cried my heart out. About five minutes later i was still crying. "Maia are you okay, Maia where are you???" It was my friends Mollee and Chrissie they played giggles and cheechee in the movie. "I am r-right h-here" I said choking back my sobs. They ran over to my stall and pulled me up. I was a mess. "what is wrong girl I don't get it, is this about Oliver. I know what he did was bad but you've been gone for a year and..." Chrissie said
"This isn't about that" I said harshly.
"Then what is it about?" Mollee asked
"He kissed her right there my friend he kissed my friend, that should've been me."
"Ohhhhhh this is about Ross!!" They said in unison.
"You know I have been trying to tell him this whole time that I like him but every time I got close to it he would say something that would shut me down inside. Now he's out there making out with one of my best friends, that I didn't even know he liked."
"Well in all honesty at least it was Grace so you know he's in good hands" Chrissie said
"Wait hold up did Grace know about your crush on him?" Mollee asked intently.
"No, only you guys know" I answered and then Mollee checked her phone. Her eyes then went wide. "OMGEEZERS" she screamed highly upset
"What?" I asked
"Guys look what is the headline on TMZ news"
"what?"
"AS TEEN BEACH MOVIE STARS RETURN TO THE STATES GRACE PHIPPS AND CO STAR ROSS LYNCH WEEE CAUGHT IN STEAMY MAKE OUT SESSION IN JFK AIRPORT."
"How the heck did they find out so quickly?" I asked highly stunned
"I don't know but #graceandrosshookup is now trending." she answered and then I started sobbing into her shoulder. It all was too much to take in. Suddenly Grace came in and she looked concerned.
