Big brother's best friend

Chapter 1

Emma's POV:

"Emma! Are you ready?" i hear David scream from downstairs. "Almost!" i scream back. David can be so annoying sometimes.

I'm running down the stairs and i see David and Snow waiting for me. "you're late" says David with no emotion in his voice. "i know, i know, let's just go okay?" i pull my coat from the coat rack and open the front door.

We're in the car. Music is playing and i'm staring thru the window. "Em?" i hear David say. "hm?" i wake up from my thoughts.

"David was telling you about Killian" says Snow while looking back. "right, he's" starts David again. "A friend from college i know, i know" i look at him in the mirror with a grin on my face.

"then you also know he'll try to hit on you Em. I don't want that to happen and he knows that but i just wanted to let you know" David sounds serious. "i know Dave, everything will be fine" i say as i start looking thru the window again.

"we're here!" says Snow. i can tell that she is very excited but who could blame her? it's her rehearsal dinner. "it's beautiful guys" i say with a smile on my face. "wait until you see the inside!" says David while opening his door.

Everyone is coming in. I see some people that i know and some people i don't. I just say hi to everyone and smile. I'm standing behind Snow and David, it's nice, i can see who's coming in and prepare my greetings.

I'm not paying attention to who's coming in anymore, almost everyone is here. I'm lost in my thoughts until i hear David say "Killian! hi!". I look up and see a stunning young man.

His hair is black but his eyes are light blue. He's a little bit taller then me and i don't know why but i can't keep my eyes of him. When i hear him talk it gets even better.

"David, Snow, congratulations! i'm sorry i'm so late! my flight was delayed so i couldn't be here sooner" he says, with a little Irish accent. "thank you and it's okay Killian, we're just glad you could make it" says Snow.

"Of course! i'm honored" he says smiling at her. "Killian, i would like you to meet my little sister Emma, she's Snow's maid of honor. "hi Killian" i say smiling and then looking down. i can feel my cheeks turning red. "hi" Killian smiles at me.

"okay, i think it's time to start dinner?" says David while walking us to a long table where everyone is taking place. i'm next to Snow and he's next to David.

after dinner:

"the dinner was amazing Snow" i say smiling at her. "thanks Emma, but go have some fun" she says while pushing me to the place where the dancing floor is supposed to be. right now people are just talking there. I trip because of Snow her push and bump into Killian.

"oh i'm sorry" i say smiling. "it's okay, can i just say you look amazing? is it the dress for the bride maids?" he asks while looking at me. "No, no this is just mine. i'm wearing something else tomorrow" i say while i'm smiling at him.

"well you'll probably look great in that too" he says while smiling. "okay, i think it's time to go home" says David while he almost jumps between me and Killian. "Dave, the part just sta-" i begin but he interrupts me "well we need our rest for tomorrow lets go" he says while pushing Killian and me to the door.

in the car ride home i didn't really say much. I let Killian and David catch up. i woke up from my thoughts when i heard him say "and thanks for letting me crash at your place Dave, i can't believe your town doesn't have a hotel".

"well i don't life in Rome like you Kil" David replies while chuckling. "you're staying at our place?" i ask, louder then expected. "yeah, is that a problem?" he says while grinning. "no of course not" i say smiling.

When we got home i let David and Killian catch up. i went upstairs and changed my clothes. I'm in my last year of high school so finals are coming up. So i studied for 45 minutes and eventually fell asleep.
