At the Mount of Olives

There is a transformative power that overshadows the one that is in the presence of Jesus. Most of us were born again on days we least expected to be saved. I don't know if there is anyone that ever planned their salvation, however it happened, Jesus remains the true author of salvation.

Can you imagine being caught red handed? It's always embarrassing a moment. I have been caught red handed for doing the most ridiculous things. Some I can now laugh about while the others, not so much but feel remorse.

Everyone is guilty of sin. I heard stories of pastors that were good all their lives. They adhered to the constituted laws, they always listened, and never had traits of rebelliousness in them, yet when they spoke about their being saved, they spoke with so much gratitude. If they had been good all their lives, what then were they being grateful for?

It's more understandable for many of us that were actually guilty of all the things we might have been accused of. The funny thing about most accusations, is that, they carry a certain amount of truth to them. Each time I was accused of doing something bad, I was guilty of it. I wasn't an innocent man unfairly treated.

It's only salvation that has a different kind of approach with regard to the justice system. Are we not all guilty, yet Jesus carried all our mishaps? The mishaps that we were guilty of. Salvation is the only different kind of system. There is no other place in this world where one will be willing to sacrifice everything about their life in order for others to live.

Salvation catches us in our most desperate situations. When we didn't deserve to live. When we didn't deserve a second chance. When all hope was lost. Jesus came with eternity residing in His soul. He came willing enough to empty all He had and to take up the form of man that we might be saved.

John 8:10-11 King James Version (KJV)

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Whatever was accused of this woman was true. Everything that played out in this scenario was very accurate, regardless, Because of Jesus being so merciful and kind, He let the woman go.

There is no one in the right position to judge other than Jesus Christ, the son of God. He had every power to judge yet He chose to forgive. Jesus will never condemn us, He rather opens His arms in readiness to receive us, as many as we are.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}

(KJV)

Being in a relationship with Jesus has everything to do with our believing in Him. If we don't believe in the power that lies in salvation, we deny the possibility of truly being saved and delivered from Hell.

When we believe in Jesus, we receive the privilege of being called sons of God. Being called a son is a privilege because we denied ourselves that honor when man sinned. Jesus broke the veil and reconciled us to the Father. What more could we ask for if not to be seated at the feet of the one that created us? What else could be as great as inheriting the kingdom of God?
