“I..." I trailed off. What am I supposed to say?

Ano na? Wala na akong masabi. I'm speechless.

I looked at him, and he smiled.

“Oh, those smiles are worth falling for." Zoey said. “Aren't you falling yet, Via?"

If possible, I think I went redder.

“Stop," I said. “Cut it out."

Although I love the feeling, I still don't feel that I deserve it. Since I'm not his yet.

“You'll get the tease when it's your turn, girls." Darren said.

They both giggled.

“Ang ganda ng view." Sabi ko, pertaining to no one in particular.

Then I heard someone whisper. “Oo nga eh, pati tong katabi ko."

I involuntary looked around, to search for the one who said it. Oh yes, there's only one guy in here. Darren.

“Am I supposed to thank you?" Tanong ko.

“You decide."

“Haha, well, I thank you. Although that's not true."

“It's true."

“Everyone kept saying that. Even Kelvin—" I stopped.

Kelvin.

I haven't heard from him since this past few days. Where did he go? He suddenly left me.

“Kelvin." Sabi ni Darren. “You miss him." He said as if he could interpret what I feel.

“I don't know. Hindi ko lang talaga alam kung ano na ang nangyayari sa kanya. Ewan ko ba kung may nagawa akong masama sa kanya." 

I looked back at the window. “Bakit ba palagi nalang akong iniiwan."

“Palagi ka namang binabalikan." Sabi niya. “Babalik din siya, dont worry."

I was wondering, bakit kinocomfort niya pa ako? Hindi ba dapat mag-selos siya? Or sabihin na hindi ko na dapat ma-miss si Kelvin?

Siguro nga concerned lang siya sa akin as a friend.

As a friend.

 

Sa picnic area kami sumunod na pumunta. Naglatag kami ng picnic blanket at mga pagkain na kinuha ni Tita mula sa House.

Hapon na and it's nearly sunset. The wind never stop blowing, and it felt so good.

“Here." Sabi ni Zoey. “Eat."

I kind of felt dizzy from the ride but it's worth it.

I grabbed the plate from Zoey at kumuha na ng pagkain.

Maya maya pa, Darren sat beside me. Which is pretty mainstream these days. He became friendlier and idk, clingy?

He likes to be with people, especially with me. Maybe side effects yun ng pagkakaalog ng utak niya, hahaha, joke.

“Still scared?" Tanong ni Darren.

I shrugged my head. No, I'm not.

He nodded and munch on the sandwitch he's been eating.

“Want to play?" Zoey asked. Napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya. She's on the middle of all of us.

“Play what?" Tanong ko.

Ngumiti siya sa akin. That smile—no, that smirk, oh my gosh. I better run. Zoey was giving me her 'hihihi-lagot-ka-sakin look'

What did I ever do to you?,  I mouthed.
