“Good morning!" Bati ni Mama.

There's already bread and spread on the side table. The aircon was turned off, and the bed beside me was neatly fixed.

“Did I slept that long?"

“Oo," My mom chuckled. “Nasa kubo sila kung gusto mo puntahan."

I nodded then she stalked out of the room. Silence wrapped the whole place, so I decided to fix myself, grabbed a bread, then head downstairs.

“What took you so long to wake up?" Zoey asked. She was playing with her phone but now, snatched by Violet.

“Eh, I'm trying to get back my sleep, I guess?"

“Girls! Prepare! We're leaving for Island hoping 30 minutes from now!" Mama announced.

“Okay." We all said in chorus.

“Welcome to Starfish Island. There are starfishes near the sea shore, you can also swim and take pictures. On that part are the food stalls. Feel free to explore, just don't go past the limits. Enjoy!"

With that, nag kanya kanya na kaming way ng pageenjoy. Ako naglakad lakad muna sa gilid ng dagat. Then I saw a starfish.

I want to touch it but I'm afraid. So I just took a picture of it. Ang cute niya. It has black and red color. Quite big but still cute.

After some hours, nag-swimming na din ako. Then kumain, then played stuff. We actually had a shooting.

Dumidilim na at the lights on the Island turned on. Reddish yung ilaw niya, looking more romantic.

Napagisipan nila na mag-swimming ulit, but this time, kasama na si Mama at Daddy.

Hindi na ako sumama kasi nilalamig na ako. So I was left there sa kubo namin, taga-bantay ng gamit. I looked around the place, so quiet and peaceful.

Then I felt a presence  towards me. I looked through the darkness, those lights didn't even helped.

“Via. . ." The voice called.

The a guy appeared to the light.

“Darren?" I was surprised. “Anong ginagawa mo dito?"

Lumapit siya sa akin at I'm starting to feel nervous.

“Via, let's talk." He said. As if he's begging me.

“Go on," I said. I held the table for support because my knees felt weak.

“Via, I'm so sorry." He said. He slowly reached out for my hand and held it carefully. “I'm very sorry."

My temper came again. “Sorry? Oh come on. That's  not enough, Darren."

“I know, and I want to make up for it. Just give me a chance to make it up to you. I'll do anything for you Via, anything. Please forgive me." He neared me and I can smell his sweet perfume.

Oh my gosh.

“That's not easy." I said. I ran out of words.

“I understand, I will give you all the time. I'll do the best that I can to make it up to you." He held my hand tightly. “Via, I don't want to lose you."

My heart suddenly skipped a beat. I don't know why, I should be angry, not like this.

He moved his face toward mine, a few inches from mine. I can feel his heart beating. All the words in my head seemed to got trapped in my throat, I can't voice out anything.

“I never want to lose my only bestfriend." He said. It sent me chills, and I felt a pang of disappointment. I don't know what I was hoping for, why am I disappointed?

“Hey," I breathed out. Finally able to speak. “Personal space."

He pulled away from me. “I'm sorry. I just missed you that much."

“Come on, let's go there." I said, looking at the log on the seashore.

We sat on it, moments of silence.

“I missed you so much, Via." He said slowly.

“You know, me nearing you doesn't mean that I had forgiven you. It takes time. To heal those wounds you did." I snapped.

He let out a sigh. “I just, ugh. I just- Can I just hug you?"

I was shocked at what he had just said. But eventually thought of it.

“Hug me?"

“Yes."

Well, I missed him too, but I won't show it. Because I changed. I'm the tough Via now. Not the stupid, crying self before.

“Fine."

He gave me a sweet smile before hugging me tightly. I hugged him back. “I missed you." He whispered. Every time he keeps on saying that, I felt butterflies on my stomach.

I missed you too...

SHORT CHAPTER!

GUYS! Just so you know lang na aalis muna kami papunta sa what I call ‘Dying place' kasi wala pong WIFI sa pupuntahan namin. Syempre sembreak naman kaya baka magtagal kami. Anyway, babawi nalang ako guys sa mga susunod na chapters! Wish me luck! Sana mabuhay pa ako kahit walang WIFI.
