Chapter 1 - Ha Stay Safe, I Really Should've Listened to That

Chapter 1

Alex's POV

"ALEXANDRA ROSE, IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP THIS INSTANT I'M GOING TO COME AND DUMP A BUCKET OF ICE WATER ON YOUR HEAD!!" My mum yelled from the kitchen.

Isn't that just a lovely way to wake up on a Saturday morning! NOT!

I manage to lift my head of my pillow and lean over to grab my phone from the nightstand. I switch it on and see that the time is 7:43am. Ughh I am not a morning person at all! After about 5 minutes of debating with myself if it would be worth the ice water to stay in bed, I finally heaved myself out of the bed and into my bathroom.

After a nice and sadly not so long hot shower I had to get dressed for the day. I decided on a black pair of ripped jeans and a cute white cropped top that had a cute little flower to one side. Before I headed downstairs I slipped on my black and white vans and did some very light makeup.

By the time I had gotten downstairs my entire family had sat at the table eating the breakfast my mum just made.

"Awh how nice of you guys to wait for me" I sarcastically said as I took my seat next to my older brother Ken.

"Well next time get ur butt outta bed earlier!" Ken replies.

After we had finished breakfast I helped mum clean everything up before heading back into my bedroom. I gathered everything up that I would need for today before heading back downstairs and out the front door.

"I'll see you around dinner time mum, bye!" I yelled out as I walked through the door.

"Stay safe and I'll see you then." She yelled back

Ha yea stay safe, I really should've listened to that.

I jumped into my car and drove over to my best friend's house.

"ALLIE!" She screamed as she jumped into my car and hugged me.

"Hi Casey."

She has called me my nickname that only the closest people in my life call me, Allie. Only her, my mum and my sister that has passed away call me that.

"To the mall we go!!!!" She excitedly screamed as I drove off towards the main mall in Ivey.

After we arrived there, we both go out and headed into the mall and started shopping around. We went into so many shops that I had lost count.

I was currently standing outside of Jay Jays as Casey was trying to get this cute guy's number who worked behind the register. She came out jumping around like a kid high of candy. I guess she really can be flirty when she wants too.

We shopped around more and more and my hands were starting to get full with bags. Around 5:30pm we had eventually managed to settle down at a little cafe around the corner from the main shopping centre.

"Casey I'll be right back, I'm going to go put all my bags in my car, save me a seat will ya?" I said as she nodded and took a seat.

I walked out of the cafe and the sun had slowly start to set. I walked around the big corner and made my way to the parking lot and looked for my car. I put the bags into the boot and backseat then making sure I locked it back up. On my way back to the cafe I heard some random grunting noises coming from around the trash alleyway next to the cafe.

Now at this point in time I had told myself to just ignore it as it would most likely get me in some form of trouble. Do you think I listened to myself? Of course not.

I hid on the edge around the corner and peeped one eye around to see what was going on. I saw some dark figured shapes standing around in a circle hiding whatever was in the middle from my sight. My curious self decided that wasn't enough and quickly ran and ducked behind a big dumpster further down in the alleyway.

I could make out about 4 really big, tall and scary looking guys and then there was one guy on the floor in the middle of them. It took me a moment to see why he was on the floor but then I saw a shiny dark red looking thing on his face, then it hit me. They are beating him up, they're going to kill him.

My common sense finally kicked in and I realised that I really shouldn't be here and I turned around to get out of there but as I quickly snuck back I accidentally kicked a glass bottle with my foot. The instant it made a noise I knew I was done for. I hoped that they hadn't heard it but I'm never that lucky.

"What the hell was that." One of the guys said before they all turned their attention from the guy they were bashing to me.

I was frozen. My mind was screaming at me to try and run, scream, anything but I couldn't do anything. It's liked my body just lost all power and shut down. All their attention was now fully on me and frankly it was terrifying.

"Who are you?" Another one of the guys calls out.

"I uh should be going." I quickly whispered out before trying to run back out.

At this point that had only seen my back so my logic was, if I ran and managed to hide then there is no way in hell that they would be able to find me!

I had started speed walking down the alley towards the way I had just come before I heard a sound that made me stop dead in my tracks. A gun cocking.

"Turn around." The same guy as before said.

Not wanting to mess with the guy that is currently holding a gun at me, I turned around to face them. I couldn't quite see their faces but I'm positive they could see mine as I was directly under a low lit lamp post. I purposely put my head down and let my hair cover as much of my face as possible so they couldn't see it.

"Please just let me go, I didn't see anything! I haven't even seen your faces let alone know what your names are! Please" I whisper begged as the guy who I presumed to be the leader of whatever they are started to get closer to me.

He chuckled low and dangerously before saying, "I'm Chase Parker."

He was fucking with me, I know his name so now he would never let me go, and he knew this.

I was still looking down at my feet like they were the most interesting thing in the entire world when I see 2 black boots come into my view. I hesitantly and slowly lifted my head seeing more of this guy standing in front of me, expect this time I could actually see his face.

"Please just let me go." I pleaded one last time.

"You and I both know that isn't gonna happen sweetheart." He replied

"Oh and sorry about this."

"Sorry about wha-"

Then everything went black.
